Rihanna Reveals Announces 2020 Savage x Fenty Show with Travis Scott, Rosalía, More

Rihanna has announced the second annual Savage X Fenty lingerie fashion show. According to a new trailer, the event will stream through Amazon Prime on October 2nd and feature performances headlined by Travis Scott and Rosalía. Founded in 2018, Rihanna envisioned Savage X Fenty as a more inclusive underwear brand, with a wide-range of fabric colors to complement all skin tones and an expanded range of sizes. The first show took place last September during New York Fashion Week, and saw appearances by Migos and Halsey, among others. This year’s lineup is even more star-studded, as in addition to Scott and Rosalía, Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 will see performances from Miguel, Bad Bunny, Mustard, Roddy Rich, and Ella Mai. That would be one hell of a concert, but of course the purpose of this event...

How Our Wardrobes Have Changed Forever Because of the Pandemic

In Carolyn Mair’s book, The Psychology of Fashion, she says, “in some cases, fashion precedes political change; at other times it follows it.” Thanks to the pandemic of 2020, we’re very much looking at the latter exception. Overnight, with very little warning, (let’s be honest—many of us were working from home and still are and during the height of true lockdown), we’ve all had to adjust our daily lives and routines. Our need for constricting garments and more formal attire was suddenly made completely obsolete. No more suits, no more jeans, and, in some cases, no more bras. While some might rejoice in the lack of the aforementioned, it’s also meant we have had little reason to dress up—no more sequin dresses for parties, no more wedding ...

Thanks to Miranda Priestly, I Already Love Pantone’s Latest Trending Colour

Ask any fashion fanatic and I bet you will find they’re able to quote at least one line from Devil Wears Prada. After all, Meryl Streep’s inimitable portrayal of Miranda Priestly left us with so many iconic quips.  However, one of the most memorable moments of the entire film is undeniably the scene in which Priestly analyses in great detail the colour of a single jumper. “What you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue,” she says. “It’s not turquoise. It’s not lapis. It’s actually cerulean.” Priestly then goes on to explain the history of the specific shade, outlining its various significant runway appearances, and of course, solidifying cerulean as a colour never to be forgotten among the fashi...

I Just Created a Simple Autumn Capsule Out of These 21 Buys

In my mind, the autumn months have always lent themselves to the minimalist aesthetic, and while this may sound counterintuitive (after all, it’s a season defined by an abundance of layering, rather than the simplicity of a summer dress), it’s the perfect time to embrace the “less is more” mantra. Some of the most beautiful outfits I’ve ever seen have been comprised of just tailored trousers, brogues and a chunky cashmere knit. Perhaps the beauty lies in the simple textural contrasts that the season can offer.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. 4 Vintage Shopping Experts Just Told Me What’s on Their Wish Lists

I get it—secondhand and vintage shopping isn’t for everyone but for me is a real treat. The bargains I’ve found: from a £15 Aquascutum jacket to a £110 classic Burberry trench coat, as well as an embroidered cardigan French influencer and founder of Rouje, Jeanne Damas complimented me on. Not to mention the pieces of vintage sportswear I wear religiously and a checked shirt I bought for £3 from the Salvation Army charity shop, which I still wear 11 years on. Outside of COVD times, I genuinely loved nothing more than browsing my favourite retro clothing shops. However, right now, I have to settle for the digital options available—thankfully they are plentiful. From Etsy to eBay as well as Vestiaire Collective and Oxfam’s online store, there are many way...

These Are the Brands I Actually Shop on Net-a-Porter

There is a particular thrill that comes with partaking in the digital equivalent of window shopping or simply browsing through an online array of items you adore but may not realistically be able to afford.  I experience this thrill each time I log on to Net-a-Porter and peruse pages of new-in Bottega Veneta bags that retail for a small fortune or inspect in great detail the intricate construction of Gucci’s latest masterpieces. And while Net-a-Porter’s extensive collection may seem as if it’s filled solely with aspirational luxury designer items with price tags in the thousands, the e-commerce platform actually carries several contemporary brands that are far more attainable.  From instantly recognizable cult labels like Ganni, Rixo and Stin...

If There’s One Collection We Can’t Wait to Wear for Autumn, It’s This One

The autumn collection shown in New York in February drew inspiration from Manhattan local and ceramicist Francesca DiMattio, whose sculptures were dotted around the catwalk and who designed the statement prints for the collection in collaboration with Burch. The designer says DiMattio’s artwork “imbues the decorative with strength and power,” challenging ideas of femininity by putting a modern twist on traditionally female norms: pastel colours, beading, basket weaving, and florals, to name a few. It’s clear to see the influences in the new Tory Burch collection. Not only in the joyful colours and bricolage of prints and textures reflecting DiMattio’s mixed material techniques but also more subtly in how Burch contrasts the decorative and feminine elements with masculine silhouettes....

Renowned as one of the coolest brands to come out of Copenhagen, Baum und Pferdgarten has made quite the name for itself as a Scandi girl go-to over the years. Epitomized by a playful take on prints and colours, the label repeatedly creates cult favourites that manage to capture the attention of the fashion set.  And this season is no different. I’m a Vintage Fanatic—Here Are My 8 Best Finds

It’s no secret that I’m a self-confessed vintage fashion fiend—give me a sunny Saturday afternoon, a takeaway coffee and a high street dotted with charity shops and I’ll happily wile away the hours rummaging through those densely-packed rails. It’s all about the thrill of the chase: the unique buzz that comes from spotting something special which is laden with its own unique history. If I’m honest, when I first started out second-hand hunting as a teenager my main motivations were budget and creativity. It’s only been in the last few years that I’ve come to appreciate the environmental benefits of buying vintage (not that I needed more reasons to hit my favourite London vintage h...
