Upon hearing that Nick Cannon was expecting his eighth child, Kevin Hart sent him a large gift box with dozens of individually-wrapped presents: a condom vending machine. Cannon announced on his talk show last week that model Bre Tiesi is pregnant with his child. A few days later, he shared with his Instagram followers a picture of a condom vending machine, though he wasn’t sure where it had come from. Yesterday, Hart took credit. “I see u got my gift @nickcannon ….GOTCHA BITCH!!!!!!” he wrote. “Now u don’t have an excuse because the condoms are free.” He added the hashtag, “#PrankWars.” Advertisement Related Video Cannon seemed less than amused. He responded in the post’s comments, “This is not a laughing matter Kevin,” along with emojis of hands with one particular finger raised. Via Peo...
Robert Pattinson has revealed to GQ that he channeled his inner Brian Eno while on the set of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, making ambient electronic music in the Batsuit in between takes. With the movie primarily shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pattinson described the set as a “bubble within a bubble” and “insular.” Stuck in the suit and not allowed outside of the studio, the British actor added he “felt very much alone” while always shooting in the dark of night. “You’re not really allowed out of the studio with the suit on, so I barely knew what was going on at all outside,” he explained. The Batman star was built a tent where he could go to decompress and passed the time as best he could. “I’d be in the tent just making ambient electronic music in the suit, looking over the cow...
Fox has acquired the rights to Gumby, and they plan to stretch out the claymation classic into a multi-platform Gumbyverse of new content. Created by Art Clokey in the 1950s, Gumby and his friend with bend-efits Pokey have starred in two television series and one feature film. Fox will broadcast existing episodes of The Gumby Show and Gumby Adventures on Tubi, but that’s hardly the extent of their plans. Gumby will star in a new animated series, as well as a live-action (?) film. Besides that, the characters will be rolled up and sold off as action figures, merchandise, and even NFTs. We don’t want to speak for Gumby, but NFTs seem more like a plan cooked up the villainous “G” and “J” Blockheads than something our green hero would endorse. Advertisement Related Video In...
As the last few years have shown us, you can always count on awards shows to persevere, even in the most trying of times. The 2022 Oscars nominations, if nothing else, represent the inspiring endurance of this annual tradition, while also highlighting some of the year’s most exciting creative achievements in film. This year’s nominees represent a number of significant trends. Take, for example, Netflix, which has established a presence in the Oscar race and has some serious contenders in its stable, including The Power of the Dog, Passing, Don’t Look Up, and The Lost Daughter. Oh, not to mention tick, tick…Boom!, which is not just one of many musicals in contention for recognition this year, but also one of the several projects which might help Lin-Manuel Miranda complete his EGOT. (Though...
A new Michael Jackson biopic is in the works at Lionsgate, but don’t hold your breath for a Leaving Neverland–type exposé. Produced by Graham King, the man behind the white-washed Freddie Mercury film Bohemian Rhapsody, Michael is made with the blessing of Jackson’s family, and shouldn’t be expected to take down much more than the box office. Michael is written by John Logan, known for such films as Martin Scorsese’s The Aviator and Hugo and Sam Mendes’ Skyfall. John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of Jackson’s estate, will produce the film alongside King, who told Deadline he’s known the Jackson family for several decades. “I first met the Jackson family in 1981 and I’m humbled to bring their legacy to the big screen,” King said. “Sitting at Dodger Stadium w...
The Bakers still have strength in numbers in the trailer for the Cheaper by the Dozen reboot starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff. The film premieres March 18th on Disney+. The trailer opens with parents Zoey (Union) and Paul (Braff) waking up to a “code-red,” or missing the alarm to prepare their ten children for school. The chaotic morning ritual serves as the introduction for each member of the blended family as the parents narrate the familiar tale of two huge households becoming one small army. “We’re not a cult,” Paul assures in the voiceover, before Zoey jumps in to finish his sentence. “But we’re weird. We’re one-of-a-kind all the way.” Advertisement Related Video The trailer flaunts its modern twist on the 2003 comedy starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt with a ...
Stick out your tongue and blow a salute to the best of 2021’s worst. The Golden Raspberry Awards have announced their nominations for the 2022 Razzies, and the field is led by Diana the Musical, a pair of nods each for LeBron James and Amy Adams, and a whole category devoted to Bruce Willis’ execrable year. The stage is set in the Worst Picture category, which has honored (?) the Netflix version of the ill-fated Broadway show Diana, the Musical, as well as the confusing Mark Wahlberg vehicle Infinite, the BET Original horror story Karen, WarnerMedia’s branding exercise in search of a plot, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Amy Adams’ Hitchcock retread The Woman in the Window. Adams herself was nominated for Worst Actress for The Woman in th...
Netflix has dropped the trailer for its upcoming Kanye West documentary, jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy. In the new trailer, director Clarence “Coodie” Simmons focuses on his personal relationship with Ye, chronicling early predictions of his pal’s greatness as well as the dissolution of their friendship. “It felt like the bigger Kanye got, the further we grew apart,” he says. Co-directed by Coodie & Chike Ozah, the trilogy had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last month. Beforehand, Ye took to social media to demand approval of the doc’s final edit, writing, “Open the edit room immediately so I can be in charge of my own image. Steven Spielberg has cast David Lynch in his new film The Fabelmans, and according to Variety, the role is a “closely guarded secret.” This marks the first collaboration between the two filmmaking luminaries, and it couldn’t have come on a more personal project. The Fabelmans is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age tale about a Spielberg stand-in named Sammy Fabelman. Michelle Williams plays his mother, Paul Dano has been cast as his father, and Seth Rogen will step into the role of a favorite uncle. Spielberg has co-written the script with Tony Kushner, and it’s his first screenplay credit since A.I. Artificial Intelligence in 2001. As for Lynch, there’s no telling what role he’ll play, but that won’t stop us from speculating wildly. Since The Fabe...

Ghostface is officially coming back to Woodsboro. Today, Paramount and Spyglass announced that a sixth movie in the Scream franchise has been greenlit. The news comes as little surprise, given the success of last month’s Scream, which brought the return of original stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette alongside a new set of Gen Z slasher victims. As the first film in Wes Craven’s genre-defining horror series since 2011’s Scream 4, the fifth movie briefly dethroned Spider-Man: No Way Home for a single weekend as the top movie in the box office upon its January 14th release. While there’s no word yet on whether Sidney Prescott and her pals will return for the upcoming sequel — or any other casting, for that matter — Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will be back as dir...
