Building off the momentum from Pokémon Go, Niantic expanded its list of augmented reality mobile games last year with the introduction of Pikmin Bloom, and now reveals another real-world adventure game titled Peridot. Peridot is a Tamagotchi-like pet game where players care for unique virtual creatures and raise them to adulthood. “After thousands of years of slumber, Peridots (or Dots for short) are waking to a world vastly different from the one in which they used to roam, and they’ll need our help to protect them from extinction,” Niantic writes in the description. With the Dead Space remake currently in the works, EA‘s Motive Studios has now showcased a few updates to how the game’s weapons function after receiving feedback from fans of the franchise. Taking to Twitter, the developer featured a video of some of the changes it has made to a few of the game’s guns after fans flooded in with comments on how to improve them. Back in December of 2020, Riot Games announced that it’d be developing an MMO based on its massively popular MOBA franchise League of Legends, but it now turns out that the game might now be released at all. Taking to Twitter to give fans updates about the yet-to-be-named title’s development, Riot‘s executive producer Greg Street said that the game might never be shipped. “There is no guarantee this game will ship,” the developer remarked. “We are optimistic, but you just never know until it does. Dragon Ball Super Card Game has just announced its final set of the Unison Warrior series. Set number 8 — Ultimate Squad — will see hero characters from the Z, GT and Xenoverse franchise face off against Cooler and his army, Dr. Myuu and General Rilldo, as well as the Demon God Towa. Back in November last year, SEGA announced a new “Super Game” initiative that it was working on with Microsoft with the help of the latter’s Azure cloud platform, and now the gaming developer has finally clarified more about what exactly that initiative involves. Speaking in a recent interview on SEGA‘s very own Japanese recruitment page, the company’s executive VP Shuji Utsumi revealed that the initiative actually involved “several titles” that they’re working on, and while specific details remain scarce, he assured that the games would all be blockbusters going “beyond” conventional games. Microsoft is reportedly working on redesigning its chips in the Xbox Series X to be cooler and more efficient. The new rumor comes from Xbox insider and journalist Brad Sams, who claims that the gaming giant is currently reworking its designs in order to make them more cost-effective to produce.
