Celebrating its launch today, Tango Gameworks has now dropped an 18-minute look at the gameplay for Ghostwire: Tokyo. Created by the studio behind The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo is set in a futuristic Tokyo, Japan, which has become overrun by Hannya, a mysterious supernatural being that caused 99% of the city’s population to vanish. Through Ethereal Weaving, players will confront evil spirits throughout the city using hand-gesture-based combat, casting spells like Doctor Strange to free souls that have been trapped by the antagonist and freeing them with katashiro paper dolls. 2022 Pokémon World Championship Dates and Venue Have Officially Been Announced

The 2022 Pokémon world championship is coming to London this summer. Players from all over the world will have a chance to compete for over a half-million dollars in prizes, the title of World Champion, as well as receive a return invitation to next year’s games. Players of the Pokémon TCG, video game and UNITE can qualify for Worlds by earning Championship Points at events through the Championship Series season. Depending on the geographical Regional Zone and age division, players will require a different number of points to advance to the second day of the events. The National Football League (NFL) is gearing up to release its first virtual reality video game. A new Ghostbusters game is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Titled Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the 4v1 multiplayer shooter game follows four Ghostbusters take one another player that controls the ghosts. ‘Virtua Fighter 5’ Announces ‘Tekken 7’ Skins

During the recent Virtua Fighter eSports Challenge Cup, Sega announced an upcoming crossover between Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken 7. The teaser trailer shown shows Akira taking on Lau, but the iconic characters are dressed to resemble equally iconic characters Kazuya and Heihachi. The clip shows the two engaging in a two-round fight complete with Tekken-style health bars. The teaser ends with Akira/Kazuya defeating Lau/Heihachi, followed by a screen for Virtua Fighter 5 noting the upcoming release of the skin crossover. A New ‘Witcher’ Video Game Saga Is in the Works

CD Projekt Red is developing the next installment in The Witcher video game series. The new game will kick off a “new saga for the franchise,” according to the announcement. Based on the book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski, the first game in the main Witcher series was released back in 2007. It became a trilogy, followed by 2011’s The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and concluding with 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While the series has three spin-off games, this forthcoming game will mark the first standalone release since the trilogy ended.
