HipHopWired Featured Video Source: 2K Games & Visual Concepts / WWE 2K22 Did a year off seriously help 2K Games and Visual Concepts fix its WWE 2K video game franchise? Yes, it damn sure did. It’s no secret WWE 2K20 sucked and was an absolute embarrassment for the video game studio that blesses us with the NBA 2K franchise, which is a model of consistency despite some recent shortcomings. After enduring numerous complaints and tweets featuring hilarious clips showcasing how broken the game was, 2K and Visual Concepts decided to shelve WWE 2K21 and focus on WWE 2K22, promising a new game rebuilt from the ground up that would essentially “hit differently.” [embedded content] Related Stories We were cautiously optimistic about the WWE 2K22, at one point, even worried because we received o...

Polygon’s focus on building L2 infrastructure outweighs MATIC’s 50% drop from ATH

After a devastating 50% correction between Dec. 25 and Jan. 25, Polygon (MATIC) has been struggling to sustain the $1.40 support. While some argue this top-15 coin has merely adjusted after a 16,200% gain in 2021, others point to competing scaling solutions growth. MATIC token/USD at FTX. Source: TradingView Either way, MATIC remains 50.8% below its all-time high at an $11 billion market capitalization. Currently, the market cap of Terra (LUNA) stands at $37 billion, Solana (SOL) is above $26 billion and Avalanche (AVAX) is at a $19 billion market value. A positive note is that Polygon raised $450 million on Feb. 7, and the funding round was backed by some of blockchain’s most considerable venture funds, including Sequoia Capital. HHW Gaming Review: ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök’

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Ubisoft / Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is almost 2-years old, and yes, it’s still getting content added to it. The latest DLC, Dawn of Ragnarok, goes all-in on the Norse mythology, and it’s fun but isn’t the godly divine time we hoped it would be. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was the first next-gen game we played on our new Xbox Series X in 2020. At the time, we called the game another solid entry into Ubisoft’s now polarizing Assassin’s Creed video game franchise. What gave the game its legs after launch was its well-thought-out post-game DLC content that took Eivor to France and Ireland, continuing Eivor’s journey. We were most intrigued about Ubisoft Sofia’s Dawn of Ragnarok, which promised to give us a much differ...
