Prada Linea Rossa Joins Ubisoft’s ‘Riders Republic’ for Exclusive Partnership

Prada’s Linea Rossa has just announced a partnership with Ubisoft‘s Riders Republic. The multi-player racing game features the extreme sports mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and wingsuit flying, and has become somewhat of a sleeper hit. Prada Linea Rossa’s partnership now gives players a chance to suit up in its premium skins like the “The Flame,” “Wild Stripes,” and “Camouflage Rock.” The custom look translates from attire to equipment. Gary Bowser Sentenced to 40 Months in Prison Over Nintendo Hack

Hacking group Team Xecuter member Gary Bowser has now been sentenced to 40 months in prison by the U.S. federal court over pirating activity with Nintendo’s games and consoles. On top of serving more than three years, Bowser will also have to pay $10 million USD to the Japanese gaming giant as part of an earlier settlement and another $4.5 million USD in restitution. According to the Department of Justice’s statement, however, the damage Bowser has caused is estimated to be upwards of $65 million USD. “This piracy scheme is estimated to have caused more than $65 million [USD] in losses to video game companies,” says U.S. Attorney Nick Brown. “But the damage goes beyond these businesses, harming video game developers and the small, creative studios whose products and hard work is essentiall...

Nintendo Switch Updates ‘Chrono Cross’ With a New “Radical Dreamers” Edition

During Nintendo’s recent Nintendo Direct event, the gaming company announced an update to its beloved Chrono Cross game series, titling it The Radical Dreamers Edition. As a sequel to Chrono Trigger, the revamped 1-player role-playing game will allow you to switch between the old and new 3D models and illustrations, switch enemy encounters on or off, filter backgrounds and change screen resolution. In addition, players will be able to launch the 1996 “Radical Dreamers” prototype – as a standalone game – inside this new edition. ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’ Is Adding 48 More Courses

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will add 48 additional tracks to its gameplay as paid DLC over the next two years. As part of a “Booster Course Pass,” Nintendo is adding a number of remastered courses from previous games to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which the gaming giant announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation. The company will add six different waves of content, each complete with eight tracks, to the game by the end of 2023. ‘Mario Strikers: Battle League’ Is Arriving on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has released the official announcement trailer for Mario Strikers: Battle League, set to arrive this summer on the Switch. The Mario Strikers soccer series was first introduced on GameCube back in 2005 and was last seen as Mario Strikers Charged in 2007 on Wii. In the upcoming Battle League game, players can choose their favorite characters from the Mario universe to compete in 5v5 matches featuring skill shots dubbed “Hyper Strikes,” special items, and tackles.  Similar to Mario Kart, the gear chosen will affect in-game performance. Sony Is Testing a Voice Command Feature for the PlayStation 5

The forthcoming PlayStation 5 update will include voice command controls. Rolling out to English-speaking users located in the United States and the United Kingdom first, the beta feature was initially available on the previous-generation console when it debuted in 2013. Users will be able to activate the feature by saying “Hey PlayStation.” From there, they can use their voice to launch games, apps and the system menu. They can use their voice to control other media aspects such as playback. ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Surpasses ‘Magic: The Gathering’ on Google Search for the First Time in 10 Years

For the first time in ten years, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has surpassed Magic: The Gathering on Google search. Largely attributed to the mass popularity of the recent release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel — having now surpassed 10 million downloads — the actual TCG has passed Pokémon on the “Top-Selling” list of Black Friday 2021, landing in second place under MTG.
