Creators are now able to use certain sounds from Pokémon games without being copyrighted. The Pokémon Company has created a public sound library of audio from the 2006 games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Containing 149 streamable music tracks and sound effects, the DP Sound Library is organized into a music box, playlists and samples by various artists. Within the main music box, sounds are categorized according to locations, routes, characters, villains, scenes and more. Music can be downloaded free of charge and used in creative projects such as dance performances, on personal websites and as background noise in social media videos. The massive sales figure brings the Switch’s lifetime total since its launch in 2017 to 103.54 million units, surpassing the company’s previous best-seller Wii‘s 101.63 million. Despite the monumental milestone, the quarter was less than ideal for Nintendo, which saw Switch sales down 8% year over year. The first nine months also saw a decline in sales of 6% to $11.52 billion USD, and the company has now revised its yearly forecast down to 23 million units from 24 million previously. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed until next year, according to Bloomberg. The action-adventure game was scheduled to come out sometime this year and received a trailer in December. In a recent tweet from WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, Kill the Justice League was left off of the list of titles debuting in 2022. He did however name another game from the DC Comics world, Gotham Knights, which was originally slated to release in 2021. Kill the Justice League is being developed by Rocksteady, the studio responsible for the Batman-starring Arkham franchise. The last game from the studio, Arkham Knight, was released in 2015. As this upcoming game, Bloomberg attributed the delay “the pandemic and other development challenges.” The hold-up isn’t entirely surprising, consid...
