PlayStation owners will still be able to play the next three Call of Duty games, according to a new report from Bloomberg. Last week, Microsoft announced its nearly $70 billion USD acquisition of Activision Blizzard, leaving gamers wondering if future games would be exclusive to Xbox. On January 20, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer announced his intent to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. “Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony,” Spencer wrote in a tweet. “I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. Pokémon Legends: Arceus has received yet another trailer ahead of its release this Friday. The two-minute video highlights players exploring the different landscapes of the region, from a sunny beach to deep within the mountains. It then cuts to a montage of battles against giant Pokémon known as alphas. Alphas are described as “tough opponents,” per the game’s website, but will become “great allies” if a player manages to catch them. There’s also the chance that alphas will drop rare items when defeated in battle. “You may have met Dartrix, Quilava, and Dewott in your other adventures,” the video reads. “But you’ve never encountered th...

With Battlefield 2042 drawing heavy criticism from players, many fans have turned towards the game’s Portal feature, which allows them to create their very own custom game modes. Unfortunately, it now seems that EA will also be influencing how those modes are made and played, as the gaming giant has just removed a popular fan-made zombie mode in hopes of preventing XP farming. The game’s senior design director Justin Wiebe took to Twitter to explain the decision, saying that the zombie mode has now been replaced with Gun Game instead. “We’ve removed the Zombie’s mode and replaced with Gun Game,” he writes. “Hopefully we can fix it in the future and keep it in alignment with standard game progression. We’ve also tightened our review process to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thank...
2021 was no doubt a very interesting year for a variety of reasons, but one of the highlights for those in the finance or gaming spheres was the GameStop r/WallStreetBets saga. Whether you see it as retail investors bringing the fight to Wall Street or a more simple pump and dump scheme from a select group of Reddit users, the entire story is still phenomenally captivating, and now there’s a documentary about it you can watch. Titled GameStop: Rise of the Players, the new documentary is directed by Jonah Tulis and produced by Blake J. Harris, the same team behind Console Wars. The trailer (featured above) shows exclusive access to some of the key players in the saga and of course, also features the movement’s founder Keith “Roaring Kitty” Gill. “Spotlighting the human side of a s...
A Dark Souls exploit has now left PC players completely vulnerable. The exploit was first brought to light during a Dark Souls 3 live stream earlier this week when a hacker managed to take control of the streamer’s computer using a remote code execution exploit (RCE). The RCE essentially allows hackers to access everything in your computer or even brick it completely. Since then, Bandai Namco and From Software had temporarily shut down servers across Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3 in an attempt to thwart more hackers and fix the exploit. Over on the third installment’s subreddit, a group of users has also created a new anti-cheat system called Blue Sentinel that can prevent hackers from tapping into the RCE. Most importantly, some players hav...
