Konami has just announced that the Yu-Gi-Oh! game has been downloaded over 4 million times just a week after being available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Adding to the momentum, Konami has also made the game available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play for Android in over 150 countries. Working in partnership with metaverse developer Republic Realm, the classic game brand has now launched a series of NFT loot boxes it calls “GFT” (for Gifts). Featured above, the three-minute clip features the galaxy’s most infamous bounty hunter venturing through the dark and grimy underbelly of Coruscant, tracking down his targets while maneuvering in a parkour-like manner. The new game was revealed in a recent hiring ad for the developer, which calls for artists, designers, and engineers.
