Analogue Reopens Orders For the Pocket With Price Hike

Analogue is now reopening orders for its highly coveted Pocket handheld console. Taking to Twitter to announce the news, the company is now going to take fresh orders started December 14, saying “It is our goal for everyone who wants a Pocket to be able to secure an order.” Though you’ll be able to put in orders tomorrow, it’ll still be on a first-come-first-serve basis split into three main groups. Group A will receive their Pockets in Q1 of 2022, with group B getting theirs in Q4 of the same year. Finally, Group C will receive their orders sometime in 2023. On top of reopening orders, Analogue has also announced a price increase for the device. A Dedicated Slayer Playlist Is Coming to ‘Halo Infinite’ This Week

One of the most widely known multiplayer modes in the Halo franchise, the Slayer playlist, is headed to Halo Infinite on December 14. As first reported by Windows Central, 343 Industries community lead Brian Jarrard has confirmed that the multiplayer mode will arrive as part of the game’s next update. The Slayer playlist will come in a “basic” mode, as opposed to a variant model that the developer had planned to release following the holidays. Among Us Is Being Adapted for Virtual Reality

The hit game Among Us is coming to the world of Virtual Reality. The announcement was made at The Game Awards 2021, where the game’s creators unveiled a trailer for the forthcoming stand-alone VR edition. Among Us debuted on PC and mobile devices in 2018 and received a Nintendo Switch version in late 2020. The adaptation is being developed by Schell Games, the studio behind Until You Fall and the I Expect You To Die franchise. Though Schell has yet to share a release date, the VR edition will launch on Meta Quest, PlayStation VR and SteamVR. The original PUBG will be free-to-play beginning next month. Announced at The Game Awards 2021 by developer Krafton, newcomers can play PUBG: Battlegrounds for free starting on January 12. The news arrives nearly five years after PUBG launched in March 2017 in beta on Xbox and PC, followed by a rollout on PlayStation and mobile devices the year after. Ubisoft Is Launching Its Own NFTs in ‘Ghost Recon Breakpoint’

Ubisoft is now taking the plunge into the world of NFTs. Named Ubisoft Quartz, the publisher’s new platform will allow players to purchase various NFTs — which it calls “Digits” — through a proof-of-stake currency named Tezos. These Digits will come in the form of in-game items such as weapons, vehicles and cosmetics, and those who purchase them won’t only get to use them during their gaming sessions but also subsequently sell them via their own cryptocurrency wallets.
