Fortnite has unveiled a new “Party Worlds” experience, which is designed for players “to hang out, play fun mini-games, and make new friends,” according to the Epic Games title. Though players can already meet in Hubs, their primary purpose is to surface engaging content and islands to help users find new creative experiences. CD Projekt Red has just announced that those who currently own console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will be receiving its next-gen update completely for free. The news dropped shortly after the developer confirmed in its Q3 2021 earnings report that the next-gen update for the highly controversial game is finally on track to release in early 2022 after being delayed from the end of 2021. In the game’s current iteration, the developer has enabled crossplay permanently, and neither those on Xbox or PC can turn off the crossplay setting. For those on the console, this means they’re now forced to play with gamers running on PCs, which opens the gateway to many more hackers as we’ve seen previously, using aimbots and wallhacks to completely ruin the fun for other players in the match. The news came from an investor presentation by Dimensional Ink, the same developer behind DC Comics’s own MMORPG DC Universe Online. Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, a free-to-play battle royale combat game for mobile designed by Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix, has been released globally, generating over one million downloads in just two days following its debut. The free-to-play multiplayer mode for Halo Infinite only launched a week ago, and some have already found ways to cheat, ruining the experience for other players and fans of the game. As shown in the video down below, renowned Twitch streamer Douglas “DougisRaw” Wolf recorded his own gameplay during an online match. When looking back at his encounters, the footage clearly shows an enemy using aimbots and wallhacks to find where enemies are before they appear and immediately acquire their target on the players’ heads, giving him a fail-proof kill. A new crossover between Fortnite and Marvel could be in the works. According to reports, Epic Games recently hotfixed the set name “S.H.I.E.L.D.,” which refers to Nick Fury’s organization. Fans further point out that the addition of the set name in the Fortnite code arrives just in time for the premiere of Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld’s Hawkeye series, prompting the idea that players could receive Hawkeye and Kate Bishop skins in the Item Store in a few days.
