Following tears, Epic Games has now launched its Fortnite collaboration with Dragon Ball Super. Already taking over social media, the team at Epic Games created an expansive team-up that faithfully pays tribute to the iconic franchise. The Fortnite x Dragon Ball Super collaboration is led by four purchasable skins from that in-game shop that let you play as Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma. The skins for Goku and Vegeta also feature multiple Super Saiyan forms for more varied play. The in-game shop will also be offering Back Blings, Pickaxes, Gliders, and Emotes such as The Charging Up Emote and The Fusion! Hah!!! Emote. Microsoft hasn’t shared sales numbers for Xbox consoles since 2016 but according to recent court documents from Microsoft, the console is being heavily outperformed by the PlayStation 4. Most people already knew that Microsoft’s Xbox One wasn’t as popular as Sony’s PS4. The consoles were both released in 2013, putting the companies in direct competition with one another. Global play and entertainment company Hasbro has linked up with Colombian singer J Balvin for a limited-edition version of its Monopoly game. Marking the first Monopoly board collaboration with a Latin artist, the classic game is receiving a music-inspired makeover. Fusing Balvin’s eccentrically colorful style and Colombian heritage, the game board is decked out in every shade of the rainbow alongside smiley face designs. Additionally, the board’s spaces channel different elements of music from “concert tickets” to “music royalties” with light-hearted graphic designs. A new Lord of the Rings game is in the works at Weta Workshop. Teaming up with publisher Private Division, the studio announced the news of a “new game set in the literary Middle-earth universe of J.R.R. Tolkien.” Few details were revealed about the title but it’s reportedly still in the early stages of development and could be released as early as March 2024. Fans should note that the game is taking place in the literary Middle-earth, meaning that the game’s storyline will likely stay closer to Tolkien’s plot in the book, compared to the plots of the Lord of the Rings movies.
