Siouxsie and the Banshees Announce New Archival Album
Siouxsie and the Banshees have announced a new archival album celebrating the autumn season. Entitled All Souls, the 10-track collection was personally curated by frontwoman Siouxsie Sioux, who also directed the cover artwork. In coming up with the tracklist, Siouxsie collated both classic tracks like “Spellbound” and “Halloween” and rarities such as “El Dia De Los Muertos” and “Supernatural Thing.” Check out the full tracklist below. CHVRCHES have shared their cover of Gerard McMahon’s “Cry Little Sister” for the soundtrack to the Netflix movie Nightbooks. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis to Soundtrack New Movie Blonde About Marilyn Monroe
Longtime collaborators and friends Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have reportedly been working on a soundtrack for a new film about Marilyn Monroe. The movie, currently titled Blonde, is directed by Andrew Dominik and is scheduled for release later next year, notes The Guardian. When asked about what it’s like working with Warren on projects like these, Cave said it’s “an incredible privilege” that he doesn’t take for granted. “In any situation, he wants the best for me and I want the best for him,” he said. “We have basically developed a way of working where we both relinquish control of the music we make together. AFI Announce 2022 US Tour in Support of New Album Bodies
AFI have announced an early 2022 US headlining tour in support of their new album Bodies. Darkwave act Cold Cave will be along for the 26-date outing. The trek kicks off on February 11th at SOMA in San Diego and hits most major U.S. markets before concluding on March 25th at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. “So anxiously, we’ve awaited the ability to perform our eleventh record for you,” AFI vocalist Davey Havok said via a press release. “This winter, please join us in the Bodies celebration long overdue.” Related Video AFI have evolved over the years, starting out in the ’90s as a hardcore act, then delivering a string of melodic hard-rock radio hits in the early 2000s.
