Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Admits His Infamous Nirvana Cover “Looked and Sounded Like Total Shit”
Roughly three years ago, Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin performed a cover of Nirvana’s “About a Girl” that got all sorts of attention for all the wrong reasons. In a new interview, the rock singer freely admits that the performance “looked and sounded like shit.” During a visit to SiriusXM in early 2020, Scantlin was joined by his Puddle of Mudd bandmates for an acoustic rendition of the Nirvana classic. Greta Van Fleet on New Album: “We’re Wrapping It Up as We Speak”
Greta Van Fleet have revealed that they are nearing the completion of their third full-length album. Hellfest Open Air has announced its 2023 lineup, and once again it’s a mammoth list of the biggest metal and hard rock bands in the world. Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slipknot, KISS, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and more than 170 other acts have signed on for the four-day extravaganza, taking place June 15th-18th in Clisson, France. This past year, Hellfest staged an unprecedented seven-day festival, making up for lost time due to the pandemic. Welcome to Rockville Festival has revealed its 2023 lineup, and it’s absolutely jam-packed with many of the biggest names in rock and metal. Led Zeppelin’s 2007 “Celebration Day” concert stands as their last show ever, barring any future reunions. To mark the historic gig’s 15th anniversary, the legendary band is streaming the entire performance for free on YouTube on Saturday (December 10th). On December 10th, 2007, Zeppelin reunited to play the O2 Arena in London to celebrate music executive Ahmet Ertegun, who had passed away a year earlier. Aerosmith have been forced to cancel all of their December “Deuces Are Wild” Las Vegas residency shows due to singer Steven Tyler’s unspecified health issues. The band had canceled the December 2nd and 5th performances one at a time before eventually calling off the entire December slate, including a show tonight (December 8th) and on Sunday (December 11th). Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe have added a run of summer 2023 US dates to their co-headlining tour, with special guest Alice Cooper. The six US concerts will kick off August 5th in Syracuse, New York, and run through an August 18th stop in El Paso, Texas.
