Doja Cat Will Catch You In Her Web In ‘Streets’: Watch

Doja Cat captures Siriboe in a web, and looks on calmly during a nuclear test (in which she’s much too close). “Streets” gave Doja Cat her second top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs last month, and has raced past one-third of a billion streams. The song appears on Doja Cat’s Hot Pink album and was an unplanned single that gained traction when it soundtracked the Silhouette challenge on TikTok. Several celebrities have participated in the frenzy, including Chloe Bailey (of Chloe x Halle), Cardi B and Lizzo. Watch the music video below. Megan Thee Stallion Announces $1M ‘Women on Top’ Fund for International Women’s Day

Previously, Megan and her “WAP” collaborator Cardi B teamed up with Cash App and Twitter following their song’s historic No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 in August to give away $1 million as a way to honor women during the viral conversation about female empowerment following the song’s release. In October, Megan also launched a Don’t Stop Scholarship Fund specifically for women of color pursuing their degree around the time of her single release of the same name featuring Young Thug. The Grammy-nominated artist clarified to one inquiring Twitter user that her Women on Top fund differed from her Don’t Stop Scholarship fund. She also announced that the YWCA Houston in her hometown (that she recently agreed to help rebuild...

The Zamundan Palace in Coming 2 America Is Actually Rick Ross’ House

Eddie Murphy reclaimed his acting throne last week with the release of Coming 2 America, a sequel to the 1988 comedy flick. In it, Murphy stars as the iconic Prince Akeem Joffer of the fictional country of Zamunda, and he lives in an enormous palace with his ultra royal family. Not everything is as it seems in the movie, though. As it turns out, Zamunda was recreated in Georgia, not Africa, and the stunning mansion is the real-life home of Rick Ross himself. Ross’ home is a casual 45,000 square-foot mansion in Fayetteville, Georgia with 235 gorgeous acres surrounding it. There are 12 bedrooms, a dining room that seats up to 100 people, and a gold ceiling trim throughout the entire mansion. It’s an absurdly ornate palace both internally and externally, and the team behind Coming 2 America w...

Chucky Trill Dead: Rapper Dies After Highway Shooting

Flynn said the suspect fled and a motive in the slaying was unknown. Police gave no immediate description of the suspect’s vehicle and have made no arrest. On Saturday, a man was grazed by a bullet on I-285 in DeKalb County when another driver pulled alongside him and opened fire, DeKalb police spokeswoman Officer Elise Wells said. Officers were called to a gas station about 4 a.m. after the man, who was in his 40s, pulled over and called 911, Wells said. “It appears that the victim was traveling down 285 when an unknown vehicle pulled up next to him and fired several rounds into the victim’s car,” Wells said in an emailed statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It’s unclear what prompted the shooting. The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, authoriti...

Eminem Shrugs Off Attempts to Cancel Him by Releasing ‘Tone Deaf’ Animated Video: Watch

In recent weeks, a campaign on TikTok has called for the cancellation of the Grammy- and Oscar-winning rapper over his 2010 hit “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna. Users argued that lyrics from the song glorify domestic abuse, with lines like “If she ever tries to f—ing leave again, I’m a tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.” In his “Tone Deaf” video, Slim Shady takes viewers on a wild Grand Theft Auto-style ride through his rocky past and refusal to water down his lyrics. “Does Bill Cosby sedate once he treats the cheesecake and a decent steak?” he raps. “You think gettin’ rid of me’s a piece of cake? I’m harder than findin’ Harvey Weinstein a date.” Earlier this year, Eminem apologi...

Eminem Fires Back at Attempts to Cancel Him in “Tone Deaf” Lyric Video: Watch

Eminem has been a target of cancel culture before the phrase was even part of the lexicon. His lyrics have long been violent, homophobic, misogynistic, and sexist (with more than a dash or rapey-ness), with most of his shocking locutions attributed to “alter egos” Slim Shady and Eminem, while Marshall Mathers stood separate as a sincere wordsmith. Now, it’s Gen Z’s turn to try and put an end to one of the most controversial hip-hop icons, and Em is having none of it. As Hot New Hip-Hop reported, Gen Z TikTok recently set their sights on Eminem for his past lyrics, particularly a line in his Rihanna collaboration “Love the Way You Lie” where he spits, “If she ever tries to fucking leave again/ I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.” (Which is kinda like trying to cancel D...
