Yesterday (July 18), Yeezy tweeted, and then soon deleted, an announcement of the release date for his new DONDA album. Wested tweeted that the new album would be arriving on Friday, July 24 along with the tracklist of the project. This is the Internets, so nothing is ever truly deleted once you put it out there. Initial reports had the new album’s title as God’s Country. Recently, he shared a song called “Donda” on what would have been his late mother’s 71st birthday. Lately, Kanye West’s suspect political ambitions have been getting more attention than his actual music. Although we still don’t think son is actually going to run for POTUS, he did manage...

Source: The Washington Post / Getty Kanye West hasn’t decided to drop out of the 2020 Presidential Race after all. According to TMZ, Kanye West has indeed continued with his presidential run by officially registering as a candidate. On Thursday (Jul 16), Yeezy completed the first round of paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Filing out the State of Candidacy form, Kanye reveals that he met the minimum requirement of raising at least $5000 in campaign-related expenses, which allowed him to officially add his name to the ballot under the federal campaign law. The latest filings mark the second set of forms necessary for West to be added to the national ballot. Since the paperwork was just completed, the “Ultralight Beam” rapper missed the opportunity to be added to...
Just when you think he was out, he pulls you back in. Despite the report from the Intelligencer that Kanye West was done with his presidential campaign, it turns out that was wrong. The AP reports that West has filed and will be on the Oklahoma presidential ballot. It was the first state where he’s qualified to be on the ballot. A rep for the rapper-turned-presidential candidate paid the $35,000 filing on the last day he was eligible to file. West joins concert pianist Jade Simmons and cryptocurrency entrepreneur Brock Pierce as the independent candidates to pay the filing fee. Earlier in the week, the first national poll with West’s inclusion had him 2% of the vote, which isn’t getting him elected because math. Interestingly, when he was included in that poll, West took vot...
Kanye West has reportedly dropped out of the 2020 presidential race less than two weeks after announcing his bid for the White House. On Tuesday, Steve Kramer, a member of West’s campaign team, told Intelligencer that after amassing a 180-strong campaign team in Florida, the rapper would allegedly no longer be contesting the election. “He’s out,” Kramer said, telling the publication that he was in the process of getting “all our stuff cancelled”. He later added: “I have nothing good or bad to say about Kanye. Any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccups.” According to the report, West had attempted to get his name on the ballot as a third-party candidate, but needed to collect 132,781 signatures by Wednesday (15 July) to be eligible to run in Florida. We hardly knew Ye. Kanye West’s presidential bid is over before it started. According to a report in Intelligencer, West hired a get out the vote specialist to try to whip up 100,000 signatures to get him on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina. Steve Kramer, the specialist, said they were “working over the weekend there, formalizing the FEC and other things that they’ve got to do when you have a lot of corporate lawyers involved.” Ultimately, Kramer told the publication that he received word from the group that hired him that “he’s out,” with “he” being Kanye. Earlier in the week, the first national poll with West’s inclusion had him 2% of the vote, which isn’t getting him elected. Interestingly, when he was included in that poll, West took votes away from President Donald T...
Source: Richard Hartog / Getty Possible presidential candidate, Coonye oops, we mean Kanye West is still gearing up to drop a new album. The rapper surprised fans with a new song dedicated to his late mother. West surprised his loyal fans by dropping the track named “Donda” on Sunday (Jul.12), which would have been his late mother’s 71st birthday. Accompanying a video comprised of clips, the song features West’s mom reciting fellow Hip-Hop legend, KRS-One’s lyrics from his classic song “Sound of da Police.” Midway through the song Donda West recites: “There can never really be justice on stolen land,” she recites the powerful lines. “Are you really for peace and equality? Or when my car’s hooked up — know you wanna follow me? Your laws are minimal because you won’t even think about the rea...
Kanye West may want to be president, but he has a long way to go if it’s actually going to happen (for a number of reasons). In the first piece of polling data to take into account the rapper/mogul’s candidacy, West is polling at a not-so-good 2%. Redfield & Wilton Strategies polled 2,000 registered voters in the U.S. and let’s just say that they’re not as impressed with West’s platform as he seems to be. Joe Biden leads the pack with 48%, with Donald Trump in second with 40%. When West is included in the poll, Trump’s number dips to 39% while Biden’s remains the same. On July 4, West issued his own declaration when he announced a presidential run. He was initially supported by Elon Musk, who has since walked back his endorsement following West’s interview with ...
Late on Sunday, presidential candidate (for now) Kanye West dropped a new song that paid tribute to his late mother Donda. July 12 would have been her 71st birthday. Simply titled “Donda,” the first 90 seconds of the song features the late-professor rapping along to KRS-One’s “Sound Of Da Police” before her son takes it from there. Following his decision to run for president that may or may not happen, West spoke to Forbes about his candidacy where he revealed that he was an anti-vaxxer, would not support President Donald Trump’s reelection bid in 2020 and never voted before. It raised the suspicions of many, including new pal Elon Musk. Prior to that, on the music front, West released a new song with Travis Scott titled “Wash Us in the Blood.” The song is slated to appear on Wes...
