Standing in solidarity with the global events industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Defected Records is launching a series of livestream events featuring a roster of top dance music talent. The announcement follows in the wake of the venerated UK imprint’s successful virtual festivals, which were delivered weekly in the first half of the year. Defected’s We Dance As One livestream festivals will see DJs playing from their favorite local nightclubs, which currently lay dormant due to ongoing event restrictions. In the first livestream fest, Sam Devine will broadcast from the historic Ministry of Sound while CamelPhat will take to their own club, Mansion Liverpool. Ferry Corsten Announces Three-Part Livestream Series, “Chronos”

Fresh off his rare back-to-back vinyl set with Armin van Buuren, veteran trance producer Ferry Corsten has announced a three-part livestream series as he celebrates 20 years in the industry. Titled Chronos, the series will find Corsten showcasing a trio of unique sets, allowing viewers to choose which journey the trance legend will take them on. Superbad Cast to Reunite for Livestream Watch Party

Grab your fake IDs and don’t forget the booze. The cast of Superbad is reuniting for a livestream watch party to raise money for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill broke the news on social media today in separate posts. “Wanna watch Superbad with me, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Bill Hader and MORE?? Well, you’re in luck!” tweeted Rogen, who co-wrote the script and starred as a cop. In addition to Hill and Rogen cracking jokes during the livestream, the lineup also promises Superbad cast members Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bill Hader, Martha Macissac, producer Judd Apatow, director Greg Mottola, and co-writer. The Audius platform is officially counting down the end of the old music industry and rise of something new with the platform’s mainnet launch announcement.
