Martin Garrix‘s influence has extended far beyond the confines of the electronic dance music community before. But an upcoming collaboration with Marvel may lead to an eruption of his brand the likes of which we haven’t yet seen. Garrix has revealed he’s working on a new video game currently in development at the iconic entertainment company. “I was at Marvel this morning, and I did something for a new video game they’re launching,” Garrix said in a recent interview. “There’s all these projects in the works at the same time, which I’m very excited about.” Garrix stopped short of revealing the title of the game he’s working on. He also didn’t say whether he was voicing a character or producing music for Marvel Games, but it...
James Cameron has joined the ranks of esteemed directors who have criticized comic book movies. In a New York Times interview, he said Marvel and DC characters don’t weigh the risks like the heroes in his new movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, who are now parents. According to Cameron, they instead “act like they’re in college” regardless of their personal lives. “When I look at these big, spectacular films — I’m looking at you, Marvel and DC — it doesn’t matter how old the characters are, they all act like they’re in college,” Cameron said. “They have relationships, but they really don’t. They never hang up their spurs because of their kids. The things that really ground us and give us power, love, and a purpose? Those characters don’t experience it, and I think that’s not the way to m...

Oh, well, there’s always next phase: Marvel Studios has paused production on its hotly-anticipated Blade reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As a result, Disney has pushed the film back from its original November 3rd, 2023 premiere date to September 6th, 2024. The decision will disappoint Blade fans, though it doesn’t come as a total surprise; the star-crossed project lost director Bassam Tariq just weeks before filming was set to begin in November. As the search continues for a replacement, crew members were notified Tuesday of the pause on production. According to one source, “They want to really get it right.” Filming is expected to pick up in 2023. Trust no one. Marvel unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion during its annual D23 event this weekend. Watch it below. The seeds of Secret Invasion have been planted since Spider-Man: Far From Home back in 2019. In that film’s post-credits scene (spoiler) it was revealed that the Nick Fury (Samuel L.
