We’re finally one step closer to returning to Wakanda: Marvel has unveiled the first full-length trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The preview arrives just under a month away from the sequel’s November 11th release, which comes four years after the smash original Black Panther. A first teaser for the film debuted at San Diego Comic-Con back in summer, but this new trailer gives us deeper looks at the cast. Amongst the returning characters are Shuri (Letitia Wright), Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Ayo (Florence Kasumba). All of them are in mourning over the loss of T’Challa (the late, great Chadwick Boseman), but the death of their king and Black Panther protector has apparently opened them up to outside aggressors — particula...
Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. In a video announcing the surprise bit of casting, the actors also revealed the film’s release date: September 6th, 2024. Deadpool 3 will mark the Merc with a Mouth’s long awaited entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a bridging of franchises that has been in the works ever since Disney reclaimed the rights to the X-Men in the 20th Century Fox merger. Fans have also anticipated the MCU arrival of the larger roster of mutants, something that has already slowly begun thanks to the rug-pulling appearance of Evan Peters in WandaVision and Patrick Stewart getting back in Professor Xavier’s wheelchair for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. (As well as the controversial reveal at th...

Trust no one. Marvel unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion during its annual D23 event this weekend. Watch it below. The seeds of Secret Invasion have been planted since Spider-Man: Far From Home back in 2019. In that film’s post-credits scene (spoiler) it was revealed that the Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) we’d seen throughout the movie were actually shape-shifting Skrulls (with Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos from Captain Marvel taking the place of Fury). It turned out that the real S.H.I.E.L.D. head was up in space aboard a Skrull ship on a secret mission. That mission, it turns out, was monitoring a… well, a Secret Invasion. Based on the popular Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, Secret Invasion...

Ben Kingsley delighted and deceived his way through Iron Man 3 and Shang Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings, and as Variety reports, he’ll bring back the character Trevor Slatterly in Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man series for Disney+. Wonder Man will reunite Kingsley with the show’s co-creator and executive producer, Destin Daniel Cretton, who helmed Shang-Chi. Some reports have suggested that Cretton is planning an action-packed Hollywood satire; Slatterly’s backstory is struggling actor, and in the comics, Wonder Man worked as a stunt man to try and monetize his invulnerability. Wonder Man has served as both an Iron Man antagonist and Avengers ally, and there’s no indication which way he’ll be leaning at the start of the series. Few o...
Marvel has released two films and two TV shows this year, with one more of each on the horizon. They also dropped a series of Groot animated shorts, and there are still two Disney+ specials on the way. That’s a slow year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point; there are four films and six shows on the schedule for 2023. But one of the franchise’s stars, Mark Ruffalo, isn’t concerned with Marvel over-saturation — because at least it’s not Star Wars. Speaking with UK’s Metro about his return to playing Hulk in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Ruffalo said too much Marvel content is “not something I worry about.” He noted that big franchises like this always “run their course” and get replaced by something new, but praised Marvel for its variety. “The thing Marvel has done w...
Deep within the shadowy regions of the underworld of collectors, it’s commonly referred to as “Plastic Crack.” Perhaps it’s even more addictive than cooked cocaine, but the comparisons to the infamous ‘80s drug probably stop at the insatiable ability to hook you after only one hit. I mean, I don’t think cats are stripping aluminum siding off houses to cop, but the anxiety, and withdrawals, are 100% a reality. I officially became an addict of collecting figurines during the pandemic lockdowns of NYC.Zooms became a part of everyday life. Like a lot of us, I needed to find a small nook somewhere to front, and I hated it. I decided to order a cheap ring light and shovel out an area in the house to display some memorabilia and some of my old Monchhichi collectibles. Yes! I collected those, henc...
