Anti Social Producers Club, described as an “underground collective of music producers,” will host its second annual Anti Social Camp in New York City from Monday through Friday (June 13 to 17) in an effort to help rejuvenate the city’s music scene. “We created Anti Social Producers Club to build community and remind the music industry that there is still a wealth of talent here in New York,” Anti Social Producers Club founder Danny Ross said in a statement. “Anti Social Camp is not only the biggest songwriting camp in recent memory — with 150 signed artists creating 100 songs in 3 days — but it’s a vehicle to reinvigorate the NYC music scene. Lady Gaga in Talks to Join Joaquin Phoenix in ‘Joker 2’ Musical
The Joker is back, and this time he’s bringing a friend. Lady Gaga is in early talks to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in director Todd Phillips’ sequel to Joker, the 2019 Oscar-winning, $1 billion Warner Bros. hit based on the DC character. Phillips has been co-writing the script with Joker co-writer Scott Silver for some time and has finally shown it to the studio. Last week, Phillips revealed on social media the title of the new project — Joker: Folie à deux — the title referencing a medical term for an identical or similar mental disorder that affects two or more individuals, usually members of the same family. Post Malone Announces 2022 Tour
Post Malone has announced a North American tour in support of his new album Twelve Carat Toothache. The Twelve Carat Tour begins in September and stretches into November. Joining Malone at a number of dates on the trek is his “Cooped Up” collaborator Roddy Ricch. Check out the tour dates below. Malone’s last major trek was the Runaway Tour, featuring opening acts Swae Lee and Tyla Yaweh. The first leg of the Runaway Tour took place from September to November 2019. The second leg took place in February and March 2020 but was cut a bit short due to the pandemic. Twelve Carat Toothache is Post Malone’s follow-up to the Grammy-nominated Hollywood’s Bleeding. Jay-Z and Damon Dash have settled their respective lawsuits over JAY-Z’s 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt, Billboard reports and documents viewed by Pitchfork confirm. Each party’s claims were dismissed without prejudice, allowing for future suits. Each side is responsible for their respective legal fees. Roc-A-Fella Records first sued Dash— who co-founded the label with Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke—after he attempted to auction Reasonable Doubt as an NFT. The auction was canceled. At the time, Sotheby’s was auctioning an NFT that Jay-Z had commissioned from the multi-disciplinary artist Derrick Adams —created to celebrate Reasonable Doubt’s 25th anniversary—called Heir to the Throne.
