Elon Musk says Donald Trump will be welcomed back to Twitter once he takes ownership of the social media platform later this year. Speaking at a Financial Times conference on Tuesday, Musk described Twitter’s decision to permanently ban Trump as “morally bad” and “foolish in the extreme.” “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. CHVRCHES Announce New North American Tour Dates

If you haven’t caught CHVRCHES on their current tour, you’re in luck. The Scottish band has announced a new run of North American shows in support of their latest record, Screen Violence, extending their travels through the end of the summer. The next leg of the tour kicks off on July 24th at Austin’s Float Fest. From there, Lauren Mayberry and co. will spend some time in the South, hitting the likes of New Orleans, Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta, and Asheville, North Carolina. A couple of dates in Virginia take the band up the East Coast, and by the time September hits, they’ll head west to play Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle. Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” Music Video Could Be His First Collab With ‘South Park’ Creators

The first collaborative effort between Kendrick Lamar and Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, may have already been released. In the YouTube caption of K-Dot’s “The Heart Part 5” visual, the rapper and his team credited the music video’s deepfake technology to DEEP VOODOO, Parker and Stone’s studio launched in 2020, and also gave “special thanks” to the two creators. Neither Lamar nor the South Park founders confirmed the news, however. A number of big musical artists are set to contribute to the soundtrack of the upcoming animated film, Minions: Rise of Gru. Several posters heavily influenced by ’70s design have been spotted across London, each bearing the names of Tame Impala, Diana Ross, RZA, BROCKHAMPTON, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Thundercat, Caroline Polacheck,  Brittany Howard, Bleachers, Tierra Whack, Weyes Blood, Kali Uchis, H.E.R. and producer Jack Antonoff and a note that simply states “Coming Soon.” A source confirmed to Variety that the posters are, in fact, in support of Rise of Gru, which will serve as a prequel to Despicable Me that is set in the ’70s. Astroworld Victims’ Attorneys Now Say Over 4,900 People Were Injured

More than 4,900 people were injured in some capacity at the deadly Astroworld music festival, according to the latest tally by the attorneys representing victims. That’s a substantially higher total than previously claimed. When the litigation over the disaster was combined into a single large lawsuit in late January, the attorneys involved listed 387 separate cases, with estimates of roughly 2,800 alleged victims.
