Redveil has shared a new video for “PG Baby.” The song is on the Maryland rapper’s latest album Learn 2 Swim, which dropped last week. Check out the Andrpw-directed video below. Learn 2 Swim was released on Redveil’s 18th birthday. Over the years, the teenager has made noise with a string of albums which lay his thoughtful lyrics over lush production. Wilco have announced a new album. It’s titled Cruel Country and it’s due out May 27 via dBpm. They’re sharing the lead single “Falling Apart (Right Now)” today, which you can listen to below. Cruel Country is almost entirely composed of live takes recorded at the Loft in Chicago—a method not employed by Wilco since recording Sky Blue Sky—and follows a loose conceptual narrative of the history of the United States. As the title implies, the album finds Wilco embracing the genre of country music. “We’ve never been particularly comfortable with accepting that definition, the idea that I was making country music. But now, having been around the block a few times, we’re finding it exhilarating to free ourselves within the form, and embrace the simple limitation of calling the music we’re making...
Of their new label home, the sisters added: Michael Goldstone signed us to Sire/Warner in 2006. We had just made The Con and felt like the vision Goldie and the team at Sire had for us and the album were a good fit. But soon after he signed us, he left to start Mom + Pop. We look forward to being back at an indie label, on a brilliant roster, with Goldie and the label’s incredible team helping us start this next chapter in our lives with the release of our 10th album. State of Mind” by Nas — and it quickly turns into one of those conversations where the thing they’re talking about isn’t the thing they’re talking about. “It always feels to me like he hates it and misses it all at once,” Ruth says. “You know, when I listen to that record,” Mike explains, “His projects are in Queens and y...
