The National Announce 2022 North American Tour Dates

The National have announced a North American tour. It begins with the band’s headlining slot at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival on Friday, July 15, and continues through September. The National are partnering with Plus1 to donate $1 from each ticket to the Plus1 Ukraine Relief Fund and also Buffalo String Works. Sound artists KMRU and Aho Ssan have announced the collaborative album Limen. The record is out April 29 via Subtext. KMRU is the moniker of Kenyan musician Joseph Kamaru, and Aho Ssan is the moniker of French artist Niamké Désiré. Foo Fighters are canceling all of their upcoming tour dates, following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. “We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned,” the band wrote. “Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.” Find the statement below. Artists and labels are headed for a face off Wednesday (March 30) in Sacramento as the California State Assembly holds the first hearing and vote on repealing an amendment to the state’s “Seven-Year Statute” following February’s re-introduction of the Free Artists From Industry Restrictions (FAIR) Act. Held by the Assembly’s Committee on Labor and Employment, sources from both sides expect the vote to pass.
