The back and forth begins with one of the kids sweetly texting, “Mommy please can I wear nails with glue[?]” to which the singer naturally asks, “What kind of glue?” Explore See latest videos, charts and news “Nail glue,” the elementary schooler responds. After attending high school in the early 2010s, it’s tough not to feel sentimental about Said The Sky‘s new album and the definitive new direction in his sophomore album. While it was easy to be excited about Sentimental based on its singles alone, two of which arrived immediately prior to the album’s full release, some of the album’s most surprising—and nostalgic—cuts come with the full release. Between appearances by We The Kings, Parachute, The Maine, State Champs and more, the tracklist of Sentimental oftentimes more closely resembles a Warped Tour lineup than anything else. In fact, we’re still wondering how Said The Sky managed to pull a very rare feature from Motion City Soundtrack on the wittingly self-deprecating “Blue Eternal....

Jon Hopkins‘ music has found another use case in the world of wellness. The Grammy-nominated electronic music producer, whose recent album Music for Psychedelic Therapy became a framework for guiding people through healing while in an altered state, is once more strategically leading listeners to a state of relaxation. Dreamachine, a new installation created by award-winning architecture studio Assemble, aims to create a unique visual experience through the use of flickering lights. Visitors enter the “machine” room and lie down with their eyes closed as lights blitz the space in variable patterns. Behind closed eyelids, the lights stimulate the optic nerve, leading to prismatic visuals and colors. Ambient music from Hopkins is soundtracking the experience, which research...
Oh Daft Punk, why are you doing this to us? On the one-year anniversary of their shocking split, the legendary duo have returned to social media—and sent it into a fever pitch. The resurrection is—of course—cryptic in nature, but they seem to be rolling out a plan ahead of some sort of announcement. It started today after Daft Punk’s verified Instagram account shared an image of the duo’s logo, but refrained from including a caption. Less than an hour later, Daft Punk posted an old flier from the Los Angeles stop of “Daftendirektour,” the duo’s first-ever concert tour which spanned from January to December 1997. The performance took place at the Mayan Theatre on the December 17th of that year. Recommended Articles This post has led many to believe th...

The onslaught of information is not manageable for any empathic organism in this universe. Driven into a corner, overtaken by our own self-destructive ways, nature sends its beasts to settle things for good. Restore balance by fire, water, earth and wind. Until eventually mankind will eat itself. Facts are no longer facts, and science appears to ha...
Two decades into their venerable careers, Baltimore death metal savants MISERY INDEX are back with a new album, “Complete Control”, which will be released worldwide on May 13 via Century Media Records. Spewing with Orwellian invective and razor-sharp songwriting, ‘Complete Control’ is a much-needed hammer to the face; a wake-up call for the disaffected and dispossessed.” “Complete Control” track listing: 0...
HALESTORM has released the official music video for “The Steeple”, the second single from its upcoming fifth studio album album, “Back From The Dead”. “The Steeple” follows the album’s title track, “Back From The Dead”, released last summer. That track marked HALESTORM‘s sixth No. 1 at rock radio, and met rave reviews: Rolling Stone called it “a biting, cathartic howler about overcoming obstacles — even death,” and Consequence praised Hale‘s “powerhouse pipes” and lead guitarist Joe Hottinger‘s “blistering solo.” Revolver declared it a “raucous, hard-rock rager about staying strong in the face of crushing adversity.” “Back From The Dead” is due out May 6 via A...
