Watch GEOFF TATE Sing QUEENSRŸCHE’s ‘Queen Of The Reich’ On MONSTERS OF ROCK Cruise

Fan-filmed video footage of Geoff Tate‘s performance aboard this year’s Monsters Of Rock cruise can be seen below. The show saw Tate playing many of QUEENSRŸCHE‘s biggest songs, including early classic “Queen Of The Reich”, which originally appeared on the band’s debut EP. Tate had previously expressed his reluctance to perform “Queen Of The Reich” at his live concerts, telling Rock Show Critique in a 2012 interview: “It’s funny, actually — a lot of people don’t know about that song. A lot of people don’t care about that song. It’s an early song that was written and it shows. It’s funny the reaction you get, because it’s a lot of blank stares. In fact, it’s the same stare you get when you play a...

HALESTORM’s LZZY HALE On Playing Concerts During Pandemic: ‘Everyone’s Going To A Show Like It’s Gonna Be Their Last Show’

In a new interview with Meltdown of Detroit’s WRIF radio station, HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale spoke about what it has been like for her and her bandmates to perform live again during the pandemic. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “We did a quote-unquote secret show here in Nashville [in July 2021] at a local club as our first show back. It had been the longest I’ve ever gone without doing a live show, and my panic mode started at soundcheck. It wasn’t just, like, 10 minutes before we go on, ‘Oh, God.’ It was just all day of, like, ‘Oh my Gosh. We’re really doing this.’ “It feels so good to be doing shows again and it feels great to just see everybody in the audience really living in the moment,” she continue...

Late PANTERA Drummer VINNIE PAUL: Collection Of Facebook Live Videos From 2010-2017 Posted Online

YouTube channel Aaros Compilations has uploaded a 44-minute collection of all the Facebook Live videos late PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott shared on the HELLYEAH Facebook page from 2010 to 2017. Check it out below. Vinnie passed away on June 22, 2018 at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 54. He died of dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease. His death was the result of chronic weakening of the heart muscle — basically meaning his heart couldn’t pump blood as well as a healthy heart. Vinnie Paul and his brother “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott co-founded PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, they formed DAMAGEPLAN. On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and k...

John Williams Reportedly Returns To ‘Star Wars’ To Compose ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Theme

John Williams is reportedly back in the Star Wars universe for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. According to sources, the esteemed composer scored the Lucasfilm and Disney series’ theme with a Los Angeles orchestra “under tight security” last week. This will mark Williams’ first piece of Star Wars work since scoring the theme of Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and his first theme for a series since 2009’s Great Performances. The 90-year-old composer scored all nine Star Wars films as well as 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story. Back in 2018, Williams told KUSC radio that The Rise of Skywalker would be the last Star Wars title he will score. “We know (director) J.J. Abrams is preparing one (more Star Wars movie) now, that I will hopefully do next year for him,” he previously said....

‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Pushes Broadway Return to April 14

Mrs. Doubtfire is pushing its experimental Broadway return by a month. On Friday (Feb. 18), producer Kevin McCollum announced that the musical comedy based on the 1993 film starring Robin Williams would be coming back to the Great White Way a month later than its originally scheduled March 15 curtain up. On Jan. 10, the show — which initially opened on Dec. 5 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre — began a nine-week hiatus prompted by the omicron variant wave that hit Broadway. Speaking to The New York Times, McCollum explained that the decision to close the production temporarily was based partly on the decrease in COVID-19 cases across New York City — something that prompted Gov. Kathy Hochul to drop the state’s indoor mask mandate starting Feb. 8. (The Broadway League renewed its audience mas...

Summerfest Organizers Scale Back COVID Precautions

Organizers of Milwaukee’s Summerfest music celebration are planning to scale back COVID-19 precautions this year. WTMJ-AM reported that festival organizers announced Wednesday (Feb. 16) that guests won’t need to wear masks, show proof of a negative COVID-19 test or show proof of vaccination to enter the grounds this year. “MWF will monitor the situation and continue to work closely with health experts, while following local guidelines,” festival officials said in a news release. The move comes as COVID-19 cases continue to trend downward in Wisconsin. The seven-day average of confirmed tests stood at 1,371 as of Thursday, down from 18,101 on Jan. 16, according to the latest data from the state health department data. Organizers canceled the festival in 2020 after the pandemic began. Last y...

Virgina rapper FNF Chop is not slowing down anytime soon. More proof of this comes along with the release of a visual for his all-new track titled “Best Friend.” Here, he connects with North Carolina rapper Stunna 4 Vegas, to deliver non-stop, punching bars. Chop started gaining buzz when he released his single “Walk Down” in 2019. Los Padres Return With Riveting Remix of R3HAB and Lucas Graham’s “Most People”

And just like that, Los Padres have returned. Following hot on the heels of a slew of official remixes, perhaps most notably their rework of R3HAB’s “Runaway” (with Sigala and JP Cooper), the ambitious Caribbean duo have executed another refreshing rework of R3HAB’s music. “Most People,” a dance-pop smash by the multi-Platinum dance music vet and featuring three-time Grammy-nominated band Lukas Graham, was their latest selection. In their bouncy future house rendition, Los Padres maintain the subtle guitar work of the original in a tip of the cap to R3HAB’s production. Then the tandem mix in a high-energy blend of elements such as warm piano chords, electrifying synths, and buzzy saws in perfect cohesion. All-in-all, it’s an anthemic, dancefloor-re...
