ABBATH And WATAIN Announce September/October 2022 European Tour
Norwegian metal titans ABBATH have announced a brand new co-headlining tour with Swedish black metal outfit WATAIN. The “Chariots Of Fire” trek will kick off on September 15 at the Elysee Montmartre in Paris, France and will wreak havoc in 13 more countries before a final curtain on October 9 at the Vanha venue in Helsinki, Finland. Special guests will be TRIBULATION and BÖLZER during all shows. Tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday, February 16 at 10:00 CET. A cover version of JUDAS PRIEST‘s “Breaking The Law” was featured in a new Super Bowl LVI commercial from Liquid Death, a water company that packages its product in a can instead of plastic bottles. The commercial shows a bunch of grade school-aged children hanging out and drinking Liquid Death in a party-like atmosphere. Then, a pregnant woman drinks it. After purposely not showing what Liquid Death exactly is, making it seem that the kids and the pregnant woman may be getting drunk, the ad finishes by saying, “Don’t be scared. It’s just water.” Liquid Death is reportedly the No. 1 water brand on Instagram and TikTok, as well as the No. 7 among all beverage brands. Tonight at the 2022 Super Bowl, Jhené Aiko kicked things off with a performance of “America the Beautiful.” She was accompanied by Los Angeles-based harpist Gracie Sprout. According to the Official Charts Company, “Bruno” racks up another 59,900 chart sales including 8.5 million streams, as it extends its magical streak, while another Encanto tune, “Surface Pressure” by Jessica Darrow, lifts 4-3, for a new peak. “Bruno” is the first original Disney recording to rule the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and with each cycle at the top, it’s creating more history.
