According to Deadline, Cinedigm has picked up North American rights on “The Sound Of Scars”. The film is described as a deeply personal documentary which chronicles Brooklyn alt/metal band LIFE OF AGONY‘s rise, fall and rebirth while confronting domestic violence, substance abuse and addiction, depression and lead singer Mina Caputo‘s gender transition. A spring release is expected. The Weather Station has announced a new album. How Is It That I Should Look at the Stars is a companion piece to 2021’s Ignorance. It’s out March 4 via Fat Possum and features songs written at the same time as Ignorance. Alf Clausen, the Emmy-winning composer who scored more than 560 episodes of The Simpsons across 27 years, was fired from the show in 2017. In 2019, he sued Fox for wrongful termination over his firing from the show. In the complaint, he alleged that his age and disability were factors in his firing. Clausen has now dropped the lawsuit, Variety reports. In August 2020, a judge dismissed Clausen’s age discrimination portion of the lawsuit but allowed for his disability discrimination claim to proceed. Clausen’s attorney Ebby Bakhtiar told Variety that the lawsuit was dropped as it “appeared likely” that the justices would rule against him. “We caught a very, very conservative panel,” Bakhtiar said. “I think he got screwed.”

Slim Jxmmi, one-half of the chart-topping duo Rae Sremmurd, has been arrested for battery after allegedly attacking his girlfriend and mother of his child. According to the Miami Dade Department of Corrections, Slim Jxmmi, who was born Aaquil Brown, was arrested Tuesday morning and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami. RZA has reportedly filed a lawsuit against several bootleggers for the unauthorized use of the Wu-Tang Clan logo. According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, the de facto Wu-Tang Clan leader is accusing defendants that “are believed to be operating out of China or other foreign jurisdictions with lax trademark enforcement” for trademark infringement, counterfeiting and false designation of origin.
