Ex-Vöid, a band featuring former Joanna Gruesome members Lan McArdle and Owen Williams, have announced a new album. Bigger Than Before is out March 25 via Don Giovanni. The album’s announcement today arrives with a new song called “Churchyard.” Listen to it below. Lan McArdle is the vocalist of Ex-Vöid and Owen Williams is the guitarist, with Laurie Foster joining them on bass and Jonny Coddington playing drums. Canadian all-girl metal band KITTIE is “super stoked” about taking part in Las Vegas’s When We Were Young festival, which will take place over three days this fall. The “emo” festival will be held on the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the Strip on October 22, October 23 and October 29. Tickets for the first two days sold out quickly. LAMB OF GOD has recruited Phil Demmel (VIO-LENCE, ex-MACHINE HEAD) to play guitar for the band on this year’s ShipRocked cruise, which set sail from Galveston, Texas on January 22 and includes stops in Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. Demmel is filling in for LAMB OF GOD‘s regular guitarist Willie Adler who was unable to make the trip for reasons that have not been disclosed.
