Amnesia Ibiza Announces 18-Hour 2022 Opening Party

One of the most iconic clubs in Ibiza is coming back stronger than ever. The proprietors of Amnesia have announced the club’s 2022 Opening Party, which is scheduled for May 21st. A lineup has not yet been announced, but a press release shared with EDM.com said prospective attendees “can expect a mouthwatering lineup of global house and techno talents.” Past performers include Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones and Loco Dice, among other veteran DJs. Organizers have also teased a number of fresh features, like revamped live production, state-of-the-art tech developments and a “new and improved customer experience.” Doors will open at 6PM and close at noon for 18 hours of nonstop partying. TESTAMENT has parted ways with its longtime drummer Gene Hoglan. The veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers announced Hoglan‘s exit from the group in a social media post earlier today. Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen Announces Debut Solo Album, Shares New Song: Listen

Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen has announced his first-ever solo album. It’s called You Belong There and it’s due out April 8 via Warp. He’s breaking the news by also sharing the lead single, “Shadow in the Frame.” Check it out below. Spanning 10 tracks, You Belong There explores the “uncharted territory of adulthood” that follows the restlessness of youth, according to a press release. The album follows Rossen’s lone solo EP, 2012’s Silent Hour/Golden Mile, and the 2018 single “Deerslayer.” Grizzly Bear’s last album, Painted Ruins, came out in 2017. In support of the new record, Rossen will embark on a tour of North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe this spring. Kanye West Wants Final Cut Over New ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ Documentary: “Open the Edit Room Immediately”

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, wants the final say on how he’ll be represented in Jeen-Yuhs, a three-part documentary about his life and career. The documentary is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a release on Netflix in February. In an Instagram post on Friday, Ye “kindly” requested editorial control over the project. “I’m going to say this kindly for the last time,” Ye wrote. “I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix. Halestorm Unharmed After Tour Bus Is Destroyed by Fire

Halestorm’s tour bus was completely burnt out by a fire early Thursday morning, but thankfully the band members were sleeping in a hotel at the time. The rock group was in Worcester, Massachusetts to play a show last night (January 20th) at the DCU Center with co-headliners Evanescence. Guitarist Joe Hottinger posted photos of the aftermath on Instagram, showing the interior of the bus completely charred. He wrote, “Halestorm had a night for the books. We were all in our hotel rooms last night and we woke up to our bus burning down at 3AM. Fun fun. No one was hurt. The Worcester fire department got there and put the fire out. They were amazing.
