Ahead of The Boys returning for Season 3 this summer, Amazon Prime Video has set the release date for the decidedly NSFW animated spinoff titled Diabolical. Check out the teaser trailer below ahead of its premiere on March 4th. The brief clip focuses on Laser Baby, who accidentally turns a team of soldiers into a pile of organs after an errant sneeze. Clearly, the series shares plenty of DNA with its source material. Spanning eight episodes running about 12-14 minutes each, Diabolical promises to “reveal unseen stories within The Boys universe.” Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, The Boys producers Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, and Aisha Tyler were involved with bringing the shorts to life. The Boys show...
Pirates were historically pretty hardcore guys — toughness is usually required for a job that entails robbing people at sea with hooks for hands. Such is not the case, however, for Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby), the aristocrat who leaves behind a life of luxury to sail with the infamous Edward Teach, or Blackbeard (Taika Waititi), in Our Flag Means Death. Darby plays a pretty harmless marauder in the upcoming HBO Max series, which just got its first teaser trailer. Watch the clip below. “Every pirate captain captains pirates differently,” Darby says as Bonnet in the teaser. “Traditionally, piracy is a culture of abuse. And my thought is, why can’t one be a gentleman and a pirate?” Bonnet goes on to lead his crew — “a brigade of imbeciles,” as one raider calls them — through some sillier t...
If you’ve ever wanted to get married while rocking out in front of your favorite early 2000s hard-rock acts, now’s your chance. The inaugural Honeymoon Rock Fest in Oklahoma City will feature headliners Puddle of Mudd, Scott Stapp, and Sugar Ray, among other bands of the era. Sounds weird, right? But we’re not making this up. According to the festival press release, “Between musical sets, couples who purchase a wedding package can tie the knot in front of thousands of cheering fans, where so many of the musicians are excited to officiate.” Somehow, having embattled Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin officiate a wedding sounds highly entertaining and downright ridiculous at the same time, but we can’t wait for the YouTube clips. The U.K.’s first LGBTQ+ music and camping festival is scheduled for liftoff in 2022. Taking place at the secluded Springfield Farm outside of London, Flesh Festival is an open and inclusive event which will welcome individuals and allies of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends. In alignment with their audience, Flesh’s organizers are additionally taking a proactive stand in ensuring performances spotlight artistic talent from historically underrepresented groups. Representatives told Resident Advisor that they were frustrated with seeing the same artists dotting the festival circuit and sought to “make a radical statement” to switch things up. Consistent with their vision, Flesh’s organizers have shared that the entirety of th...
ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian was joined by his 10-year-old son Revel Young Ian on drums as they performed a rendition of the SEPULTURA classic “Roots Bloody Roots” for an Instagram video which Scott shared earlier today (Tuesday, January 18). Scott captioned the video: “ROOTS BLOODY ROOTS!!! Garage jam with my man! Next time I’ll turn the guitar up and yes, it’s a 7-string.” Revel is apparently a gifted multi-instrumentalist who previously joined the FOO FIGHTERS on stage in September 2019 at the Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky to perform “Everlong” on guitar when he was just eight years old. Back in 2014, Ian told Horns Up Rocks that his then-three-old son was a big fan of METALLICA, THE BEATLES and AC/DC and that he could alr...

STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis passed a kidney stone earlier today (Tuesday, January 18) — less than a week after having his appendix removed. Kidney stones, which are hardened or calcified deposits of certain minerals, salts, and other materials, develop in the kidneys themselves before traveling through the ureter and into the bladder, where they are ultimately passed from the body in the urine. Lewis shared the news of his kidney stone in an Instagram post. He wrote: “Laying here recovering from having my appendix out. On top of that, I’ve had a kidney stone SLOWLY snaking it’s way through me for the last 4 days. After intense like-I’ve-never-experienced-pain, I successfully passed this kidney stone today.” Lewis was scheduled to play in Davenport, Iowa last F...
Jeff Scott Soto appears to have reactivated his project with David Ellefson, three months after the singer said their collaboration was “on hold” while the former MEGADETH bassist was working through the fallout from his sex video scandal. Last March, Soto and Ellefson announced that they had been collaborating on some new material under the moniker ELLEFSON-SOTO. The ELLEFSON-SOTO version of the RIOT classic “Swords & Tequila” was simultaneously released across all digital streaming outlets via Ellefson‘s Combat Records. In October, Soto was asked in an interview with Dr. Music if the rest of the material he recorded with Ellefson will eventually see the light of day, Soto said: “I’m hoping it will at some point. I’ve given David, as man...
