Pavement Musical From Alex Ross Perry Coming to New York Next Month
Slanted! Enchanted! A Pavement Musical, from Her Smell director Alex Ross Perry, is coming to New York for two performances next month. Your eyes do not deceive you: This is a musical theater production about the band Pavement. Michael Esper, Zoe Lister-Jones, and Kathryn Gallagher will star in the production, which plays at Bleecker Street’s Sheen Center on December 1 and 2. The former show starts at 8 p.m. Eastern; the latter is a 2 p.m. Eastern matinée only. Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne earned four Grammy nominations on Tuesday (November 15th) for his 13th solo album, Patient Number 9. That’s the most nominations he’s ever received for a single LP. Patient Number 9 picked up nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Patient Number 9″ (featuring Jeff Beck); Best Metal Performance for “Degradation Rules” (featuring Tony lommi); and for Best Rock Album. GloRilla Announces First Headlining Tour
It’s a big week of firsts for GloRilla. Days after earning her first Grammy nomination, the rising Memphis rapper has announced her inaugural headlining tour. The “Anyway.. Life’s Great Tour” comes in support of GloRilla’s debut EP of the same name. Kicking off in late January, the trek includes stops in Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and more. Metallica celebrated late Megaforce Records co-founders Jon and Marsha Zazula with a special show earlier this month in Hollywood, Florida. The band only played songs from its first two albums (along with a couple of tunes they covered during that era) and has now shared pro-shot footage from the concert.
