Paramore Announce New Album This Is Why, Share Title Track: Stream

Paramore have made their return official with the announcement of their new album, This Is Why. It’s out February 10th, 2023 via Atlantic Records and is previewed by the title track, which you can hear today. The 10-track follow-up to 2017’s After Laughter was recorded in Los Angeles with longtime collaborator Carlos de la Garza and features cover art shot by Zachary Gray. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit Announce US Tour Dates for 2023

Jason Isbell is hitting the road next year. After having to cancel a few dates earlier this year due to COVID-19, the musician has announced a short run of US tour dates for 2023 with his band The 400 Unit. The 12-date leg begins January 19th in Orlando, Florida before hitting oft-overlooked cities like Mobile, Alabama; Saginaw, Michigan; and Greensboro, North Carolina, before wrapping things up in Ashland, Kentucky on February 3rd. Nashville-via-Côte d’Ivoire musician Peter One — best known as one-half of the country-folk duo Jess Sah Bi & Peter One — will support Isbell on all the 2023 tour dates. Police Identify, Arrest Two Suspects in Fatal Shooting of PnB Rock

The Los Angeles Police Department has identified a suspect and arrested two in connection to the fatal shooting of PnB Rock. The department’s South Bureau Homicide Division announced in a press release that they have identified Freddie Lee Trone as a person involved in the murder of the rapper, and “should be considered armed and dangerous.” Two individuals were also arrested in relation to the case: an unnamed minor and a 32-year-old woman named Shauntel Trone, the latter of whom is reportedly the minor’s stepmother. The connection between Freddie Lee and Shauntel were not specified, but sources claim Freddie Lee is the father of the unnamed minor. Britney Spears and Elton John have released a new video for their summer single “Hold Me Closer,” which re-works Elton John’s classic “Tiny Dancer.” It’s directed by Tanu Muino, who also handled the visuals for Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” Cardi B’s “Up,” and Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me by Your Name).” Take a look at “Hold Me Closer” below. “Hold Me Closer,” which arrived at the end of August, is the first new material from Spears since her conservatorship ended last November. Denzel Curry Announces Extended LP, Pilots “X-Wing” in New Video

Denzel Curry has announced an expanded edition of his 2022 LP Melt My Eyez See Your Future with a new video for “X-Wing,” in which he pilots matte black copy of the titular Star Wars Rebel fighter spacecraft. Melt My Eyez See Your Future: The Extended Edition is due out September 30 via Loma Vista and comprises a single take of the original LP performed by Curry backed by the Cold Blooded Soul Band. Parlophone Records has announced a new David Bowie box set, Divine Symmetry, which is out November 25 in physical and digital formats. The collections captures the year leading up to the release of Hunky Dory in December 1971. It features unreleased songs and demos, as well as alternate mixes of Hunky Dory songs helmed by the album’s co-producer, Ken Scott. Below, hear a previously unreleased version of “Kooks,” which was recorded by Bowie and guitarist Mick Ronson for BBC Radio in September 1971. Coolio, “Gangsta’s Paradise” Rapper, Dies at 59

Coolio, the rapper best known for his hit “Gangsta’s Paradise,” has died, report TMZ and Rolling Stone. Citing his longtime manager, TMZ alleged that the rapper passed away unexpectedly while at a friend’s house on Wednesday night (September 28). He was 59 years old. Born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. on August 1, 1963, Coolio moved from his hometown of Monessen, Pennsylvania to Compton, California where he then attended the local community college. Coolio was a crack addict and juvenile offender, but decided to become a volunteer firefighter and picked up a job as security at the Los Angeles airport to kick the habit and pursue a better future. Kygo has been announced as the headliner of the Forbes‘ 2022 Under 30 Summit music festival. The fest will take place virtually and in-person in Detroit between October 2nd and 5th at the Detroit Opera House. It’s renowned for drawing some of the biggest names in contemporary music, such as The Chainsmokers, Jack Harlow, Billie Eilish, and Megan Thee Stallion, among others.
