Ludacris’ longtime manager Chaka Zulu (born Ahmed Obafemi) has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, simple battery, and more, Variety and CNN report. The charges stem from an incident at the APT 4B restaurant in Atlanta this past June in which three men were shot. Officers arrived at the scene and took the three men to the hospital, where 23-year-old victim Artez Jamil Benton later died. In the following weeks, Obafemi was identified as a suspect, with police obtaining warrants for his arrest. He turned himself in voluntarily on September 13 and posted the $200,000 bail later that day. He was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and simple battery. Ludacris’ Manager Chaka Zulu Faces Murder Charge in Connection to Atlanta Shooting
The manager for the rapper Ludacris faces a murder charge in Atlanta in connection with a June shooting. The Atlanta Police Department said Chaka Zulu, whose legal name is Ahmed Obafemi, turned himself in to face charges Tuesday (Sept. 13). Atlanta news outlets report that he was released on bail the same day. Police said they also secured warrants charging him with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and simple battery. Post Malone Injures Ribs After Falling On Stage, But Finishes Concert
Post Malone received medical attention after taking a hard fall on stage during his concert in St. Louis on Saturday night. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Malone was performing “circles” when he tripped into an uncovered hole that had been used to lower equipment below the stage. He landed on his ribcage and laid on the stage for several minutes as medics attended to him.
