Joyful Noise Recordings has released the 29-track Abortion Rights Benefit compilation, featuring songs by Deerhoof, Suuns, Lou Barlow, No Joy, Oneida, Half Japanese, Ohmme, and many other artists from the label’s roster. Proceeds from the name-your-price digital sampler will go toward All Options Hoosier Abortion Fund and Midwest Access Coalition. Drake Announces October World Weekend Concerts with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, More

Drake has announced a special concert series he’s calling October World Weekend. The three-day event will take place on July 28-29 and August 1 at various venues in Toronto with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and an act billed as “All Canadian North Stars.” Tickets go on sale this Friday.  A flyer for the event lists October World Weekend as being part of the Road to OVO Fest Tour. Drake further explained what that means in an Instagram post, writing, “I am currently working on bringing OVO FEST around the world in 2023 for the 10th Anniversary, but of course we wanted to turn the city up for the summer!!! Fireboy DML has released a new song titled “Bandana” featuring fellow YBNL Nation artist Asake. It’s the latest preview of Playboy, the Nigerian singer-songwriter’s third studio album, following the title track. Check out “Bandana” below. Playboy is due out August 5 via YBNL Nation/Empire. It follows Fireboy DML’s breakout album Apollo from 2020 and his 2019 debut Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps.  Last year, Fireboy DML dropped the single “Peru,” which then got an Ed Sheeran remix right before Christmas. Olympic skateboarder Nyjah Huston and Peeq’s Daniel Benlulu have partnered to launch “Chaotic DJs,” an NFT collection and VR experience inspired by the electronic dance music community. Living on the Ethereum blockchain, the “Chaotic DJs” collection comprises 10,000 tokens depicting a tiger, bunny, wolf or ape. According to a press release, holders can unlock real-life rewards like invites to private parties, music education initiatives and mentorship programs. SG Lewis Announces First North American Tour In Three Years

Last week brought two new releases from SG Lewis, marking the introduction of “the two worlds” he’s been musically creating in the studio the last 18 months.  They’ll soon come to life on a recently announced North American tour, scheduled to touch down in 23 cities this fall. Pantera to Reunite for 2023 Tour

The surviving members of Pantera are set to reunite in 2023 for their first tour in over 20 years. Billboard reports that singer Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown have signed a deal with Artist Group International to book their upcoming North American dates. “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans,” agent Peter Pappalardo said in a statement. It’s unclear who will be joining Anselmo and Brown on the road for the tour. A new video, shot in a field “somewhere in Indiana,” shows a huge piece of crop art by artist Stan Herd depicting the beloved metalhead in all his glory. The aerial shots of the artwork are soundtracked, of course, by Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” a fitting tribute for the character. “Eddie Munson 4 Ever,” the design reads.
