The organizers of San Diego’s Blended Festival have announced the return of the unique hybrid wine and music fest, which is scheduled for October 15th and 16th. The festival premiered as an instant hit, selling out its inaugural event back in 2019. They now hope lightning will strike twice after announcing a stellar lineup brimming with major artists in the worlds of electronic, hip-hop, pop, and country music. Coachella Announces 2022 Festival Dates
After multiple postponements due to the impact of COVID-19, Coachella will officially make its return to California in 2022. Organizers shared the news on Instagram today, announcing that Coachella has now been scheduled over two weekends next year: April 15-17 and 22-24. The announcement arrives after a tumultuous period for the iconic Indio music and arts festival, whose organizers were forced to cancel outright for the first time in 20 years back in June 2020. Citing the uncertainty of the pandemic, they eventually abandoned the fest’s planned October 2021 dates, marking its fourth postponement due to the impact of the virus. SLANDER Announce New Curated Music Festival, Starbase
SLANDER returned to the festival circuit with a triumphant DJ set at Tampa’s Sunset Music Festival over the weekend. East London is receiving its first queer dance music festival, Body Movements. Attendees can expect a multi-venue rave that will span across 16 spaces in Hackney Wick on September 10th, 2021. Ultra Music Festival and Downtown Miami Residents Reach Agreement After Bitter Feud
After a long and often bitter feud, the organizers of Ultra Music Festival and residents of Downtown Miami have reached an agreement to allay tensions related to local disturbances. Ultra and the Downtown Neighbors Alliance—a neighborhood organization representing a dozen residential communities—have announced that the festival will implement a “community standards program” that addresses a litany of issues such as construction schedules, park closures, traffic management, and noise impact. Organizers today announced that the 2021 edition of Veld has been moved to 2022, citing the uncertainty of the pandemic. Headliners Justice, Nina Kraviz and Tchami have already put Lights All Night‘s first ever Puerto Vallarta edition on the 2021 festival roadmap, and the event’s full Phase 1 lineup only sweetens the deal.
