As the nation’s vaccination rate increases, music festivals all over the country have begun to plan for their return. The latest to do so is the multi-genre Austin City Limits festival.  This morning organizers announced the complete lineup of artists who will be taking the stage at the event’s 20th-anniversary spectacular this October. As you can see, the lineup covers everything from hip-hop to country to pop—and of course EDM. Headliners for this year’s event include Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Erykah Badu, Stevie Nicks, George Strait, DaBaby, and the lone electronic act, RÜFÜS DU SOL. GRiZ is Hosting an Immersive Three-Day Music Experience in Denver Over Halloween Weekend

GRiZ is back with a chip on his shoulder after a brutal year for the live music scene. Less than a month after announcing his brand new galaxy-themed Virginia music fest Space Camp, the beloved electronic producer and saxophonist has announced a new curated event called Another World. The three-day event, which GRiZ dubbed an “interdimensional, immersive experience” in a tweet, will go down in Denver over Halloween weekend from October 29th to 31st at Broomfield’s 1STBANK Center. Friday will feature “House Party Vibes,” Saturday will offer a throwback experience with music from 2010 to 2017, and Sunday is pegged for a special “Full Flex Set.” Supporting artists have not yet been announced. Last year Insomniac Events announced that they would be expanding their Beyond Wonderland festival and hosting the brand’s inaugural event at The Gorge Amphitheatre. Lollapalooza 2021 is a Go—And at “Near-To Or Full-Capacity”

As restrictions on large gathering continue to lift across the nation, it’s safe to say that music festivals as officially back. The latest major festival brand to make its comeback after a year devoid of live music is Chicago’s iconic Lollapalooza, which is set to return to Grant Park from July 29th to August 1st. Variety reports that the city of Chicago gave the fest the green-light “at near-to or full-capacity,” according to industry insiders. Belgian Government Signals Return of Tomorrowland, But Will Require “Corona Passport”

As the 2021 edition of Tomorrowland hangs in the balance, the Belgian government has expressed confidence that large music festivals will return this summer. However, the path to Tomorrowland 2021 could prove to be a complex one. Tomorrowland organizers on May 11th shared a statement in reaction to comments made by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, who asserted in a recent tweet that large festivals should be possible in the second half of the summer. Excision Announces New Ohio Bass Music Festival, Reunion

After his flagship Lost Lands festival sold out in the blink of an eye, Excision has now invited all headbangers to Ohio for a brand new festival called Reunion. He took to Twitter to announce the two-day bass music extravaganza, which is scheduled for July 16th and 17th at Legend Valley, the home of Lost Lands. Dover’s beloved Firefly Music Festival has announced a massive lineup for its momentous 2021 return this fall. Many elite electronic music artists have been tapped for the four-day fest, which is slated for September 23rd to 26th at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway. Scheduled to perform are Madeon, REZZ, Duke Dumont, Big Wild, SOFI TUKKER, Chris Lake, and CloZee, among many others. They will join headliners Billie Eilish, The Killers, Tame Impala, and Lizzo. Insomniac Pulls the Plug on EDC Europe 2021, Announces 2022 Dates

EDC Portugal is the latest major festival brand to bite the dust thanks to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. In September 2020 Insomniac‘s Pasquale Rotella shared the news of his company’s first-ever show in Portugal, an event that would celebrate 25 years of the venerated promoter’s flagship EDC brand. The global festival powerhouse that is DGTL is ready to bring their beloved Israeli flagship event back to the community. DGTL TEL AVIV will return on September 21st to the heart of Ganei Yehoshua Park. The 2020 debut of Holy Ship! Wrecked feels like a lifetime ago, but luckily Hard Events has their sights set on a sequel.  A year and a half ago, HARD announced they were ditching the logistical complexities of another year at sea, instead opting to bring Holy Ship! to the shoreline.
