Midnights has arrived, and thus so has a whole new treasure trove of Taylor Swift-isms to deliberately pick apart. Along with the arrival of her latest studio album today (and a bonus collection of B-sides), the pop star has shared the video for the track “Anti-Hero.” Swift, who wrote and directed the clip, described it on Twitter has a way to “watch my nightmare scenarios and intrusive thoughts play out in real time.” Relatable as ever, huh? But there’s a lot going on here — and we’re here to do our best to break it all down for you. Anderson .Paak and hip-hop producer Knxwledge have officially reunited as the duo NxWorries. To mark their return, they’ve shared a new single called “Where I Go” featuring H.E.R. NxWorries actually previewed “Where I Go” — sans H.E.R.’s verse — back in 2020 during a virtual performance at 88rising’s Double Happiness Winter Wonder Festival. On the track, .Paak is as sly and explicit as ever, singing, “I know we do a lot of fast and slow/ I know I’m gon’ contradict myself/ I know you gon’ ride the dick like a pro.” Meanwhile, H.E.R. knows what she’s getting into: “Know how much it hurt me, but that in the past though/ When I’m all alone, better not be with that hoe.” Advertisement Related Video The music video, directed by Anderson .Paak, channels late ’90s and early 2000s R&B nost...

As Shakira gears up for her 12th studio album, the Colombian superstar has called upon Ozuna for the second single, “Monotonía.” As the title suggests, the song is about the monotony that can occur when a couple gets too comfortable in a relationship. Naturally, there’s disagreement about who’s at fault when they sing, “Tú distante con tu actitud, y eso me llenaba de inquietud/ Tú no daba’ ni la mitad, pero sí sé que di más que tú.” In English, this roughly translates to: “You were distant with your attitude, and that filled me with restlessness/ You didn’t give even half, but I do know that I gave more than you.” Advertisement Related Video The over-the-top music video starts off with Shakira singing to Ozuna in the snack aisle of a grocery store before a literal bazooka blows a larg...

Local Natives are continuing to keep themselves busy between albums, and today, they’ve shared a new single called “Just Before the Morning.” While “Just Before the Morning” teeters more towards the pop end of the scale for the indie rock veterans, it still feels quintessentially Local Natives: Taylor Rice’s lead vocals are gorgeous as ever, and there’s no shortage of their distinct sweeping harmonies. With its sleek production, “Just Before the Morning” evokes the effortless cool of the band’s Los Angeles home base, recalling the heavy haze of a peculiarly warm autumn night. “‘Just Before the Morning’ came from a burst of creativity after we finally reconnected in the studio,” the band explains in a press release. “The song explores the cyclical nature of life and the many ways in which w...
Måneskin are back with a new single called the “The Loneliest,” and the track does what the Italian rockers do best: revel in theatrics. “You’ll be the saddest part of me/ A part of me that’ll never be mine, it’s obvious/ Tonight is gonna be the loneliest,” Damiano David sings. In the track’s music video, he delivers these words while breaking down in the rain, recalling the best dramatic, anthemic — and let’s face it, kind of emo — rock of the 2000s. Check it out below. “The Loneliest” follows Måneskin’s 2021 album Teatro d’ira: Vol. I. Back in April, the band covered the likes of Britney Spears and The Stooges during their Coachella debut, and while playing “Supermodel” at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, bassist Victoria De Angelis’ top fell off, prompting MTV to censor their perfo...
