Veteran drummer Matt Sorum has announced the debut album from his all-star project Kings of Chaos, and reunited the Velvet Revolver lineup for the new single “Judgement Day.” Sorum performed and co-wrote “Judgement Day” alongside Slash, Duff McKagan, and Dave Kushner — all of whom played with Sorum in Velvet Revolver, the mid-2000s hard rock supergroup fronted by the late Scott Weiland. The song lives up to its all-star billing, with a high-speed pace and blazing leads from Slash and Kushner. Sorum handles lead vocals and sounds great on the mic, embracing the humor and punkish bite of the track. That humor transfers over to the music video, which features a cameo from ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, and sees Sorum driving like a madman in an homage to Vanishing Point, screaming the song lyrics al...
“I Drink Wine” was the first music video Adele shot for 30, and now, almost a year after the album’s release, the visual for the track has finally arrived. Check it out below. The visuals show Adele floating on an inner tube down a meandering river, a glass of wine in one hand and an eye on her memories as they’re reenacted along the riverbank. Along the way she’s joined by synchronized swimmers and tempted by handsome shirtless men and sobriety. Check it out below. Released last November, 30 broke sales records and helped CD sales reach a near two-decade high. On November 18th, Adele will kick off “Weekends with Adele,” her Las Vegas residency that she rescheduled from last winter after citing COVID delays and a subpar setup. The residency goes through March, and ticke...
After six years away, Quasi are returning soon with their perfectly-titled new album Breaking the Balls of History, which they’re teasing today with the new single “Queen of Ears.” Their debut for Sub Pop is slated for release on February 10th, 2023, and they’ll also celebrate the occasion with a North American tour. Quasi’s Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss co-produced Breaking the Balls of History alongside longtime punk go-to John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill, Unwound, Treepeople, Team Dresch). They figured their 2013 record Mole City would be their last and were content to move on — that is, until Weiss broke both legs and her collarbone in a 2019 car crash, just months before that pesky pandemic began. So along came Breaking the Balls of History, an a...

As Shakira gears up for her 12th studio album, the Colombian superstar has called upon Ozuna for the second single, “Monotonía.” As the title suggests, the song is about the monotony that can occur when a couple gets too comfortable in a relationship. Naturally, there’s disagreement about who’s at fault when they sing, “Tú distante con tu actitud, y eso me llenaba de inquietud/ Tú no daba’ ni la mitad, pero sí sé que di más que tú.” In English, this roughly translates to: “You were distant with your attitude, and that filled me with restlessness/ You didn’t give even half, but I do know that I gave more than you.” Advertisement Related Video The over-the-top music video starts off with Shakira singing to Ozuna in the snack aisle of a grocery store before a literal bazooka blows a larg...
