Arctic Monkeys is planning an extensive tour in support of their upcoming album The Car, announcing a series of 2023 dates in North America. The four-piece will fly across the pond in late August to kick off the engagement in The Armory in Minneapolis, followed by appearances in areas like Chicago, Boston, Forest Hills, Austin, Portland and San Francisco before closing it out a month later in Inglewood, California. They will be joined by Fontaines D.C. for the North American leg, which takes place a few months after their Australian leg in January and European/U.K. leg from May to June. Depeche Mode has announced the long-awaited follow-up to 2017’s Spirit. The new record, Memento Mori, will be released through Columbia Records sometime next spring. Memento Mori will mark the English electronic band’s first release since the death of founding member and keyboard player, Andy “Fletch” Fletcher, who passed away in May at the age of 60. “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time,” Martin Gore said. “After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.” Fletch would have loved this album.
