Pearl Jam Cover Wet Leg’s “Chaise Longue” at Madison Square Garden: Watch

Pearl Jam had the honor of playing New York’s Madison Square Garden on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, and the band put on a star-studded show that included shoutouts to Venus and Serena Williams, a cameo from a jacket belonging to Harry Styles, and a cover of Wet Leg’s “Chaise Longue.” Pearl Jam aren’t the only elder Gen Xers vibing on Wet Leg. Earlier this year, former president Barack Obama included their track “Angelica” on his 2022 summer playlist. The MSG cover of “Chaise Longue” came as part of a rendition of the PJ classic, “Daughter.” Fan footage captured frontman Eddie Vedder wiggling his hips and sliding his voice along (alongue?) the melody. Elsewhere in the evening, Pearl Jam covered Prince’s “Purple Rain,” with Vedder donning a sparkling jacket h...

Sam Fender Cancels Remaining US Tour Dates to “Look After” Mental Health

English singer-songwriter Sam Fender has canceled his remaining 2022 US tour dates to take care of his mental health. This includes a trio of headlining shows, gigs in support of Florence + the Machine, and an appearance at Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful. “It seems completely hypocritical of me to advocate discussion on mental health and write songs about it if I don’t take the time to look after my own mental health,” Fender wrote in a statement posted to social media. “I’ve neglected myself for over a year now and haven’t dealt with things that have deeply affected me. It’s impossible to do this work on myself while on the road, and it’s exhausting feigning happiness and wellness for the sake of business. My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while and it’s not going t...
