Jamie Spears, who unsuccessfully fought to keep Britney Spears separated from her own money under his conservatorship, is now asking his daughter to pay his legal fees. The 27-page petition obtained by Variety reads like a blackmail note. “Prompt payment on account of Jamie’s attorneys’ fees is necessary to ensure the Conservatorship can be wound up quickly and efficiently to allow Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire,” it says with the air of someone twirling a mustache. You know that nice freedom you’re looking forward to? Sure would be a shame if someone slowed it down. Spears’ attorney Matthew Rosengart called the request an “abomination.” “Mr. Spears reaped many millions of dollars from Britney as a conservator, while paying his lawyers millions m...

Remember when Dave Navarro pissed off every Red Hot Chili Peppers fan by replacing John Frusciante? Well, over two decades after Navarro’s infamously tumultuous departure from the band, the guitarist made an unexpected onstage reunion last night (December 20th) with none other than the lead Chili Pepper himself, Anthony Kiedis, for a rendition of Lou Reed’s classic “Walk on the Wild Side.” This reunion was fairly spur of the moment; Navarro recently put together a charity concert called Above Ground benefiting MusiCares at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, with performances paying tribute to the Sex Pistols’ Never Mind the Bollocks and Lou Reed’s Transformer. The roster of high-profile guests included Billy Idol and Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, but they both had to back out of l...
New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert spent the last two weeks in the hospital after undergoing emergency cancer surgery. In a lengthy post uploaded to Instagram on December 19th, the musician said that after his wife found him unconscious in bed, doctors discovered he had pheochromocytoma, a rare form of cancer. “On December 5th, my wife found me unresponsive in bed,” Gilbert wrote. “I’d been waking up drenched in sweat the last few days and we thought I was sick. Not being able to wake me, she called 911 and performed CPR and mouth to mouth. Apparently I was doing something called “agonal breathing” and was minutes from death.” Gilbert went on to explain that his blood sugar dropped to dangerous levels while his blood pressure skyrocketed. Upon further inspection, doctors discovered tha...
Nandi Bushell blew up with her hard-hitting covers of rock classics, but the 11-year-old musician goes for modern hits as well. In her latest cover, Bushell took on Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.” “I will love Billie and Finneas forever more!!!” Bushell captioned the cover, which she posted to Instagram. While she didn’t perform the full song, the clip — which focuses on the end of “Happier Than Ever,” when Eilish’s ballad explodes with firecracker drums — shows off Bushell’s skills like the best of them. She stomps along to the breakup kiss-off for about a minute before ending with her famous scream. Check it out below. “Happier Than Ever” isn’t really a strange choice for rocker Bushell. Eilish all but confirmed her status as a rock singer with her own performance of the song on Sat...
Commemorating ten years since its release, The Weeknd has shared the original version of Echoes Of Silence on streaming services. This release follows the release of House of Balloons and Thursday on streaming and completes the mixtape trilogy. With this last drop, The Weeknd created a visual for the tape’s title track.
