Paul McCartney Won’t Sign Any More Autographs

Write this one down: Should you ever be lucky enough to run into Sir Paul McCartney in the wild, don’t ask him for an autograph. In a recent interview with Reader’s Digest, the Beatles legend said he’s effectively imposed a ban on signing mementos and taking haphazard selfies with fans. “It always struck me as a bit strange — ‘here, can I write your name down on the back of this till receipt please?’ Why? We both know who I am,” Macca said, adding that he doesn’t understand the appeal of grainy selfies, either. But don’t mistake these brush-offs for arrogance; the 79-year-old songwriting icon just wants to take that precious time to get to know his fans on a more personal level, instead. “What you’ve usually got is a ropey photo with a poor backdrop and me looking a bit miserable,” he went...

Björk is opening up about what fans can expect from her upcoming tenth studio album. In a new interview airing before her livestreamed residency with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the singer said the coming LP is “for people who are making clubs at home in their living room, restricted to their ‘Christmas bubble.’” Björk’s next full-length release will serve as a follow-up to 2017’s Utopia. Boosie Unleashes Disgusting Homophobic Rant on Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X is one of the most compelling and innovative artists to emerge in the last decade. Boosie (aka Lil Boosie aka Boosie BadAzz) is a one-time Southern rap titan whose career hit the skids when he decided to name his 2017 album BooPac and never recovered. Nowadays, you’re much more likely to see Boosie’s name in the headlines for the homophobic comments posted to his Twitter than you are for his music. Over the last several months, Boosie has made a number of derogatory comments about the “Industry Baby” rapper and his sexuality. Lil Nas X has mostly ignored Boosie, but during a recent Instagram chat with fans, he joked that the two had collaborated on a new song (via HNHH). “Shit fire,” Lil Nas X quipped. “I ain’t even gonna lie, for real. Gotdamn song with Lil Boosie gonna come out...

Travis Tritt Performs National Anthem At to Braves-Dodgers Game Days After Canceling Gigs Over Vax Mandates

Travis Tritt, who recently voiced his refusal to play at venues that enforce vaccine and mask policies, sang the National Anthem prior to Game Six of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. Because of Major League Baseball’s on-field vaccine mandate for all non-players, the country singer sang from the stands of Atlanta’s Truist Park, according to MLB reporter Scott Miller. The performance was not televised, but individuals who attended the game tweeted that Tritt was met with a smattering of boos. Tritt himself announced his appearance just 18 hours prior to first pitch. The team itself made no public acknowledgement of his presence other than telling Washington Post that they would follow all COVID protocols as Tritt sang the anthem. Ad...

As the evening’s musical guest, the pop crooner gave a performance of the album’s lead single, “Arcadia.” “Arcadia” already calls to mind Del Rey’s earlier career highlights like “Video Games,” but her outfit and the black-and-white filter of her remote performance especially felt like a throwback to 2012. With a stripped-down piano background and minimal stage decor, Del Rey’s voice took the forefront, making the simple track feel all the more poignant. Watch her performance below. Now that Blue Banisters has finally arrived, it seems Del Rey might be taking some time away from the public eye: After some questionable missteps over the past year or so...
