Courtney Barnett is back with the announcement of her next album, Things Take Time, Take Time. The follow-up to 2018’s Tell Me How You Really Feel is due out November 12th via Mom+Pop. Along with the news, the Aussie singer-songwriter has shared the music video for her twangy new single “Rae Street.” Things Take Time, Take Time is Barnett’s third proper full-length. Written over the course of two years, she then recorded the album in late 2020 and early 2021 with producer Stella Mozgawa, known for work with Warpaint, Cate le Bon, and Kurt Vile. In May, City Girls finally released “Twerkulator” after a lengthy clearance battle. Now, they’ve dropped a heavily choreographed music video directed by Missy Elliott. Showing off the vision that won her MTV’s Video Vanguard Award, Elliott helps JT and Yung Miami pay homage to the track’s influence by setting the video in “Twerk City,” a landscape resembling New York City in the early ’80s. The Miami duo proceeds to show off choreographed dance moves while accompanied by a cadre of backup dancers. BTS have shared a teaser trailer for their recently-announced single “Permission to Dance.” The song drops Friday, July 9th. Sufjan Stevens has announced a new collaborative album with Asthmatic Kitty label mate Angelo De Augustine. Entitled A Beginner’s Mind, it’s due for release on August 24th. As a preview, the duo has shared two songs: “Reach Out” and “Olympus”. Exodus Drummer Tom Hunting to Undergo Total Gastrectomy in Cancer Battle
Exodus drummer Tom Hunting will undergo a total gastrectomy amid his battle with stomach cancer. The band has launched an auction to help raise funds for his medical bills. Hunting began treatment for squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the stomach less than five months ago. A total gastrectomy — the full removal of the stomach — is typically done if the cancer has spread widely in the stomach or toward the esophagus, according to Cancer.org. Hours after Britney Spears’ longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, announced his resignation, the singer’s court-appointed legal counsel is following suit. Samuel D. Ingham III and Loeb & Loeb “tendered their resignations” as Britney’s lawyers on Tuesday, according to court documents reviewed by The Hollywood Reporter. The news is hardly a surprise, as Britney expressed displeasure with her legal representation while testifying at her conservatorship hearing last month.
