Progress has been made for Drake in his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group. News of Drake being allowed to request Kendrick Lamar's contract and other documents in the "Not Like Us" lawsuit have surfaced. This comes after a judge denied Universal's request to stay in the discovery process while allowing Drake to proceed with the process of requesting additional contract information from the label. The pre-trial conference earlier today saw Judge Jeanette Vargas rule in favor of Drake's legal team. They can now begin deposing executives and requesting documents.
