Fall Out Boy have announced their new album, So Much (For) Stardust, out March 24th via Fueled by Ramen/Elektra Records. As a preview, they’ve shared the first single “Love From the Other Side.” So Much (For) Stardust marks Fall Out Boy’s return to Fueled by Ramen 20 years after releasing their debut studio album, Take This to Your Grave, on the label. Happy hump day! Wednesday have announced that they will return this spring with their third album Rat Saw God, out April 7th via their new label home Dead Oceans. To celebrate the news, the Asheville indie rock band have shared the new single “Chosen to Deserve” today, as well as a bunch of tour dates for 2023. Rat Saw God documents bandleader Karly Hartzman’s coming-of-age in North Carolina, using fuzzed-out guitars and sticky hooks as a vehicle for her intimate, evocative storytelling. Dave Bazan has announced a massive 2023 tour honoring the anniversaries of two seminal Pedro the Lion albums, where he’ll celebrate 25 years of It’s Hard to Find a Friend and 20 years of Control. The 38-date trek kicks off in Omaha on April 11th, taking in big cities including Dallas, Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, before wrapping June 30th in Pedro the Lion’s hometown of Seattle, Washington. Korean-American singer and producer Yaeji has detailed her upcoming debut album, With a Hammer, out April 7th via XL Recordings. The news arrives with a run of 2023 North American tour dates and lead single “For Granted.” Yaeji recorded With a Hammer in New York, London, and Seoul, mixing her dance music roots with Korean indie rock, electronica, and pop from the ‘90s and early 2000s. Collaborators on the album include British musician Loraine James and Baltimore up-and-comer Nourished by Time alongside producers K Wata and Enayet from Yaeji’s extended SLINK NYC crew. Liturgy have shared the choral piece “Angel of Sovereignty” ahead of their upcoming double album 93696, out March 24th. Outwardly, a two-minute song that’s almost exclusively the sound of a children’s choir seems like a bizarre choice for a single. But Liturgy have been known to throw a curveball, and the track epitomizes the project’s uncompromising nature. There are no traditional rock instruments; nor is there anything remotely metal about the piece. However, the same compositional complexities that run through Liturgy’s “heavier” offerings, if you will, are still at work here.
