Maggie Rogers has dropped “Want Want,” another preview of her upcoming album, Surrender. The new track features dreamy synths that are joined by hard-hitting drums during the build-up to the chorus, when Rogers encourages listeners to seize the day. “If you want-want what you want-want, then you want it,” she sings. “Can’t hide what you desire once you’re on it/ Can’t fake what you can’t break up with.” Rogers initially debuted “Want Want” during her appearance at Coachella last month. The 2001 record will be released in full on July 8th via Reprise, and today, Young is previewing it with the song “Standing in the Light of Love.” Young and Crazy Horse recorded the aptly-named Toast at Toast Studios in San Francisco. In a statement, the musician writes that the album ended up being “so sad that [he] couldn’t put it out.” He explains: “I just skipped it and went on to do another album in its place. All-star supergroup The Dead Daisies have unveiled the lead single “Radiance” from their as-yet-untitled upcoming album, due this August. The Dead Daisies have seen a number of lineup changes since forming in 2013, but the latest incarnation of the band is made up of a group of musicians with impressive pedigrees.
