Thoughtcrimes (Ex-Dillinger Escape Plan) Unleash New Song “The Drowning Man”: Stream
Long Island-based hardcore act Thoughtcrimes, which features former Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer, have shared new song “The Drowning Man.” Clocking in at under two minutes, the new single is an absolute ripper. Technical riffs are stacked amongst a rhythmic barrage that borders on sludge metal. It makes for one of the heaviest and most uncompromising hardcore tracks we’ve heard so far in 2022. “My intention was to create a song with no boundaries of influence,” explained guitarist Russ Savarese in the song’s press release. Lady Lamb Drops New Single “Ivy”: Stream
Lady Lamb has released her latest single “Ivy” via Ba Da Bing! Records. Stream it below. “I think you were hopin’ I could decode/ The meaning of your touch,” the artist otherwise known as Aly Spaltro laments on the track’s second verse over gently melancholy acoustic guitar before the chorus crashes in. “It’s what I’d wanted, why was I oblivious?/ Turns out playin’ it cool, it don’t serve us at all/ I wish I’d had my shit together/ Thrown you up against the wall.” According to a press release, another song called “Wolves of My Want” will be released tomorrow (April 1st). Superorganism are back with another look at their forthcoming album, World Wide Pop. This time around, they’ve shared “It’s Raining,” which features Pavement singer Stephen Malkmus and UK rapper Dylan Cartlidge. “It’s Raining” is a swaggering hip-hop track, with a slinky, bass-heavy beat, a mess of synthesizers, and a glitchy Scott Walker sample coalescing at full force. The single comes with an animated music video, directed by AEVA with illustrations by Risa Kazama, where an anthropomorphic raindrop slides along with the grooving passengers of a bullet train. Flume has teamed up with Caroline Polachek today on the new single “Sirens,” the latest preview of the Australian electronic artist’s forthcoming album Palaces. Camp Cope Share New Album Running with the Hurricane: Stream
Camp Cope return today with their first new album in four years. Running with the Hurricane, the Melbourne indie rock trio’s third LP, is out now via Run for Cover. Running with the Hurricane was recorded at Sing Sing Recording Studios with engineer Anna Laverty, who co-produced the album with frontperson Georgia Maq.
