Duff McKagan Drops ‘Two-Generation Stand’ From His Teenage Punk Band The Living
Before he was bassist for one of the biggest bands in the universe, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan was a punk rocker in Seattle. And now we can hear what a 17-year-old McKagan sounded like thanks to The Living: 1982, a previously unreleased LP from his early band The Living. Lead single “Two-Generation Stand” is out now, with the album due April 16 via Seattle’s Loosegroove Records, a label owned by Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) and Regan Hagar (Satchel, Brad). Dinosaur Jr. Share New Single ‘I Ran Away’ Ahead of New Album
A few days after celebrating the 30th anniversary of Green Mind, Dinosaur Jr. are back with a new single, “I Ran Away.” The song comes from their forthcoming Sweep It Into Space album. The new LP arrives on April 23 on Jagjaguwar and is the lineup’s first new collection since 2016’s Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not. The album was co-produced by Kurt Vile, who also played the lead 12-string on “I Ran Away.” Sessions for what would become Sweep It Into Space began in late 2019, with the album originally slated for release in mid-2020. Crowded House Returns With New Single From First Album Since 2010
For the first time in over a decade, New Zealand natives Crowded House are back with a brand new single from their upcoming album, Dreamers Are Waiting (June 4 via BMG). Perhaps even more impressively, the non-dream-themed song, “To The Island,” also comes with an announcement of the expansion of Crowded House’s New Zealand tour for next month. Gojira Share ‘Born for One Thing’ Single Ahead of Fortitude Album
French-born, New York City-dwelling metallers Gojira have shared the single “Born For One Thing” from their upcoming album, Fortitude.
