“Netflix, I choose you!” As Variety reports, The Pokémon Company has struck a deal with Netflix to develop a new live-action series along the lines of… gulp… Pokémon Detective Pikachu. The show is in the early stages of development. While few details are known, this adaptation of the beloved video game/card game/anime empire will be helmed by Joe Henderson, who is currently the co-showrunner of the Netflix series Lucifer. Both Netflix and Pokémon have somewhat dubious histories of live-action adaptations. Pokémon Detective Pikachu had enough manic energy to satisfy kids in the audience, but the plot pacing could be frustrating for adults, and it failed to measure up to the likes of Pixar and Marvel in appealing to all ages. The “SexyBack” later hopped into the comments section on Bass’ video post to explain why he didn’t pick up. “Once those babies show up… your unavailability will all make sense, bro,” he explained with three laughing-crying emojis. Responded Bass, who is expecting twins: “Touche!” After Timberlake’s response, Bass shared a video of himself on TikTok and Instagram Stories that showed him dancing. Over it, he wrote, “When JT finally responds to my text…” with a screengrab of the Trolls voice actor’s comment below. Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel welcomed their second child, Phineas, in 2020. Son Silas was born in 2015, three years after the couple married. Bass announced in June that he and husband Michael Tu...
The set comes five years after their 2016 album Motivan2. Zion y Lennox is also celebrating two decades of career with multiple back-to-back concerts set to take place in December at the emblematic Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Below, read Billboard‘s 20 Questions with the reggaetón duo: 1. Why did you title the album El Sistema? Zion: We did a music camp in Medellín in 2018, we recorded the first song for the album called “Sistema.” Every time we created a song, everyone went back to how good this one was — and that’s where we made the decision. Besides that, it just made sense. Everything nowadays is digital and has to do with technology, it’s a way for Zion y Lennox to keep modern. 2. What’s your personal favorite song from the album? Lennox: I really...

Ava Maybee is a Los Angeles-based musician who writes indie pop songs with a funk undercurrent. She’s also the daughter of Chad Smith, the drummer in Red Hot Chili Peppers and the internet’s favorite Will Ferrell lookalike. Over the weekend, she paid tribute to her dad’s band by covering “Universally Speaking” on Instagram, notes Exclaim. Check it out below. “Universally Speaking” originally appeared on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ classic 2002 album By the Way. It’s a poppy number full of vibrant guitar riffs and hard-hitting yet simple drums. But in the hands of Ava Maybee, the single turns into a moving piano ballad with gentle background ambiance. She’s got a naturally deep voice, and hearing it stripped down for this cover song makes it obvious just how talented of a singer she re...
The memorable run of Jesús del Río on The Voice Kids Spain has come to an end. The young boy went viral with his rousing rendition of the AC/DC classic “Highway to Hell” during the blind auditions and then earned a trip to the finals by singing “Back in Black.” For the 8-year-old’s last performance, he sang the Europe anthem “The Final Countdown,” but it wasn’t enough to win the competition. Jesús is clearly a fan of hard rock, having looked quite uncomfortable singing Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” during the battle round. Until his performance in the finals, it appeared that AC/DC was the only band that suited his wailing vocals. However, he performed an admirable rendition of “The Final Countdown” for his last song of the competition. Ultimately, Jesús’ coach, Spanish singer Melendi...
