Source: Rachel Murray / Getty Cardi B’s pearl-clutching Megan Thee Stallion song and video for “WAP” is still the talk of the internets (RIP Combat Jack) thanks in large part to the memes. Fans were left excited and moist for the most part after watching the senses tantalizing visual for “WAP” except for one moment featuring Kylie Jenner that Twitter collectively turned it’s nose up at. Immediately fans found clever ways of erasing the youngest Jenner’s mood-killing cameo from the video. One way in particular featured actress Viola Davis making replacing Jenner was well-received by everyone, including Davis herself, who shared the photoshopped photo featuring her in the video on Jenner’s body asking in the caption “Who Did This?” ...
Source: SEBASTIAN SMITH / Getty Who had Kanye West could face election fraud on their 2020 bingo card? Yeezy has confirmed he is the Ops, but his alleged use of suspect signatures in order to get on ballots across the nation has exposed him to potential prosecution. As TMZ first reported, Yeezy’s name got booted off ballots after submitting petitions that allegedly contained invalid signatures. After receiving objections, Illinois’ State Board of Elections reviewed all 3,128 signatures he submitted, and found that close to 2,000 of them were suspect and ruled invalid. You need 2,500 signatures to get on the ballot, thus Yeezy came up short in Illinois. Even before this latest struggle, there is no way Kanye West would become President even if his goal is to win, as he tweeted. ...
Source: Power 105 / Youtube Back in the day Loon and Puff were known to drop some of the hottest radio hits to ever get spins during the golden era of (commercial) Hip-Hop and filled a void that Ma$e left behind when he walked away from the game to find the Lord. While it seemed like Loon was next in line to become Harlem World’s biggest attraction things didn’t exactly turn out that way and the “I Need A Girl” rapper ended up walking away from the limelight himself before doing almost a decade behind bars. Now that he’s finally back home, Loon is ready to share some of his story with his decades old day ones and speaks with The Breakfast Club about his days breaking into the music industry to how Islam plays a role in keeping him out the rap game to this day. Revealing that he was never a...
Source: Busà Photography / Getty While blackouts tend to occur in Queens (where many residents have been in the dark since Tropical Storm Isaias came through earlier this week) or in other places across the nation, not so much in Manhattan. But this morning (August 7), parts of the latter lost power. UPDATE: A lot of Upper Manhattan — #HamiltonHeights #Harlem #MorningsideHeights #UpperWestSide is blacked out. Source: Kevin C. Cox / Getty LeBron James, who doesn’t bite his tongue when it comes to calling out the nonsense he sees or hears, had the perfect response to Donald Trump not watching him and his NBA brethren play. Following the Los Angeles Lakers getting their tails handed to them by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 105-86 loss, King James clapped back at the orange menace. Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning during a rambling interview with his buddies at Fox and Friends that seeing NBA athletes exercising their constitutional right to protest by kneeling during the National Anthem makes him “turn off the game.” When asked about how he felt about Trump’s decision to tune out because he is BIG MAD about professional athletes kneeling, James shaded the current occ...

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Diddy’s son should be feeling lucky. Christian “King” Combs was driving his red Ferrari when it got smashed into by a man driving a Tesla—who was determined to be under the influence. Combs seems to be strictly the victim in this incident. Reports TMZ: King was involved in a car accident a little after midnight in Bev Hills, when cops say a man in a Tesla speeding down Sunset Blvd. lost control and smashed into King’s red Ferrari. We’re told Diddy’s son suffered injuries, but was treated at the scene and didn’t need to be taken to the hospital. He’s super lucky, because both cars were totaled. Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN Takeoff is being accused of raping a woman at a Los Angeles party. The Migos rapper is being sued by the alleged victim. According to TMZ, a woman who has only identified herself as Jane Doe has filed a lawsuit claiming that Takeoff displayed some stalker-like behavior at an L.A. party (back in June…during a pandemic?) before assaulting her in a bedroom in a home where the event occurred. According to the victim, he raped her in the bedroom of the person who invited her to the party. Moving along, the paperwork claims Takeoff kept staring at her during the party, which made her “extremely uncomfortable.” The rapper also allegedly offered her weed but she rebuffed the offer. After that, she claims she was heading upstairs with the man who uninvit...
Source: Al Pereira / Getty Another rapper who was thought to be living righteous has been apparently doing way too much. One of the biggest social media brands has sat Talib Kweli down. Source: Lucianna Faraone Coccia / Getty Benzino is in the news again, and it doesn’t have do with Love & Hip Hop or The Source magazine. The Boston rapper turned reality star was arrested for property damage due to a jealous rage, allegedly. It reportedly went down last Friday (July 31), when he got into a shouting match with a man who was hanging with his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, fellow reality star Althea Eaton. Reports TMZ: That other man told cops he “and a female he has been seeing, Althea Eaton, were out for a walk in the neighborhood” but when they got back to his truck, Benzino “approached him in a threatening and harassing manner.” Cops say the man told them he didn’t know Benzino and had no idea Althea was involved with someone else. Source: Skyler Durden / SD Chris Crack requires several listens before the brilliance of his gift resonates. He isn’t overly concerned with heady concepts, at least not by way of pushing such angles via his music. Instead, the Chicago rapper and vocalist does something few artists master which is to welcome the listener to experience his world in real-time and his latest release, Good Cops Don’t Exist, achieves that feat. A prolific rapper with a Sears Tower-sized chip on his shoulder, Crack uses his unique vocal instrument – something of a mix between a sneering snarl and wisecracking conversational bent – to great effect. Much of his music works from an impulsive yet soulful space and what never slips out his reach is the memorable impression he leaves. All across Good Cops Don’t Exist, ...
Source: Nike / Jordan Brand Well, we already know what one of the most anticipated sneakers of 2021 will surely be. The rumor mill is saying a Supreme x Nike Air Jordan 1 is going to drop in 2021. Keep in mind this is all conjecture at this point, but word is Supreme and Jordan Brand will be linking up to pay homage to the former’s Supreme’s 2003 Nike SB Dunk High collab with an Air Jordan 1. Looking for independent skate shops to provide the authenticity needed to win over the fastidious streetwear scene in 2003, Nike SB collaborated with a still in-the-know brand called Supreme on their Dunk High model.
